do people speak good or ill of the living or dead -- combinations thereof -- not gonna think too much on it [ouch] only to say (& opposite of 'Freedom's comment? Am only quoting someone here anyway:) Reminds me of Shakespeare in "Julius Caesar" -- something like, "the evil that men do lives after them, the good is often interr'd with their bones". one cat's view; notoriety lives on. but maybe, all depends on one's predominant nature -- if 1 was well-known for goodness (a Mother Teresa) this tends to live on, I'd say, if someone infamous then the negative quality is what stands out & endures. if the world's fair -- people are remembered for their outstanding qualities, 'good' or 'bad'.

Most times people don't realize the impact someone has on their lives or how much an individual meant to others until it's too late. We often just take people for granted and think they'll be around for a long time and that they'll always be there but when they leave us early we come to realize how much they meant to us.
It's the same thing in relationships sometimes. Someone's there that treats you right and when they're gone and moved on you realize how important they were to you.
In either case it's too late to change anything.

You never appreciate what you have until you lose it. We tend to take for granted those who we have always had and don't realize the inpact they have in our lives. We don't take a close enough look or focus on them until they are gone. Then we take a magnifying glass to focus on the positive side of who they are and what they have done. While living, we tend to focus on the negative, criticise and "devalue". Rarely do we speek illy of the dead.

two words.
Andy Warhol.
hardly anyone admired him while he was around, and his style of painting and filming were completely obscure, and critisized. But look at him now. He has a huge cult following, and is being copied everywhere you look.
I guess no one realised what a genius he was until after he died.
