That's a tricky question. If you are talking about something like college, it's not really giving up today, Although it may seem so. Your today is rich with learning while you are investing in your self. Somethings are a matter of timing & investing in ourself today so that your goals & dreams have a better chance of success tomorrow. That is not giving up your today, just redirecting it.

Well depending what you mean. For instance, when I was saving for a house I missed out on a lot of things I might have purchased or done to seize the day in order to save for something I wanted in the future. Sometimes we give up short term gains for long-term ones if it's something important. In general however I believe we should live for today. It might be all you have, so make it count! Seize the day. The moment is all you really have. The past is gone and tomorrow hasn't happened yet. It's now that matters.

Today is all we have, who knows about tomorrow. Therefore the question of giving up does not arise for something no body is sure of.

no, because who knows? your today might end up turning out better than you thought it would at the beginning of the day...and it just might be better than your tomorrow would have ever been...=}
