It is always "right now..."

The word "past" describes "memories that we believe happened," and the word "future" describes "imaginative potentials we imagine..."
Everybody lives "for," "by," and "in" the present...
We invented "time" to measure "motion." The earth takes 24 "imaginative hours" to do one full turn around its axis (if the planet could think, it would probably consider the act of spinning in general as "1" thing...Spinning or notspinning...it would not "count" the number of times it spins, or count the laps around the sun...where's the starting line? Where's the finish line...Nowhere in nature are there "marking bouys." (and WE are the ones who decided how long a second, minute, hour, day, month, and year last...Time is our "imaginary yardstick" we use for our own purposes to set "imaginative marking bouys" to help us judge distance and motion...
The unconscious universe itself is not sitting there counting to itself...1 mississipi, 2 mississipi, 3 "mississipi..."
It's just moving...(and we're imaginitively "measuring" that movement...
Ya' know where the billions of people who lived a over 125 years ago are right now?

They're pushing up daisies...

Carpe Diem (Seize The Day...)

Don't "save" the best for an imaginary concept (tomorrow...)

"Use" the best right now...every day...this day...

Because it's always..."this day..."

Both... I live for the day... for the moment and also think of tomorrow! Most human beings in the Indian continent live for the next seven manifestations. They are a living testimony to the sacred Bhagavad Gita yet, most fail to follow the teachings of Bhagavad Gita. The gist of life is live for the moment... we do not know what life has in store for us the next moment!

The doctrine of karma popularized in the West by Swami Vivekananda... the famous disciple of sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa is based on this surmise... live for the moment... enact your karma for you do not know what you shall be in the next manifestation. The law of karma dictates earning Punya karma in the present manifestation... to have a fruitful manifestation next!

Whatever be the residual balance of karma of the present manifestation at the time of death of the body... becomes the opening balance of the next manifestation! Does this mean our present governs our future... yes; the doings in present life govern our immediate future and also effects our next manifestation.

At any given point of time every human being is the sum total of all ones thoughts. And what does this mean? This simply indicates that indulgence in the present moment should be the goal of life. If we have a bright present... how can the future be dull! Living the present moment to its fullest... is what life is all about!

I took a world tour in 1985 to judge the mental buildup of the community abroad. On the spiritual scale people in the west would score negative but in present life... all practically live Bhagavad Gita. The motto of people in the West is... living for the day! Rise as if it was a new birth... sleep as if you were dead! In between live the present the best you can!

Nothing can be better than... The way people live in the west! Living for the day... the spur of the moment is living real-life. Nothing can be better than living the moment. Brooding over our past carries no meaning... one can neither bring back nor modify the past! We can definitely improve our future by living for the moment... the present day!

Living for the day... the present moment is the best policy! Still, while living our present if we can plan for tomorrow... there is nothing on Mother Earth that can hinder our reaching the goal at the earliest! It is practically difficult... not impossible! All successful entrepreneurs in life live for the moment and also plan for tomorrow! More on Living the Present - http://www.godrealized.org/one_life_to_live.html

I'm on the moment, Roundtheworld... seen a lot of friends miss them and go on, so I'm trying to stay right on top of 'em now. I have no reason to wait till tomorrow.

You only save money for tomorrow not the the time as it might not come. Saving money might be helpful to others who don't have it. Somebody said:life wastes itself while we are prepared to live.

Life is a gift. The past is over, the future yet to come. That's why they call it the precious PRESENT. Live in the now.
