dont you think there is someting coomon between lord of the rings and harry potter
dementors in harry potter and same kind of creatures in lord of the rings only differnce is that they come on horses.

Lately i saw some real cool dancing on Youtube by Michael Jackson and some other break-dancing. I thought that tap dancing and belly-dances were sufficient to make a man want to get up from his seat until i see more exciting forms.
I m no dancer but m just amazed that people can create great musical beats and body movements. Do you know of any other forms that keep you on your toes? Do you believe that singers with good dancing moves will be very successful who will draw huge crowds?

I'm obsessive about drafts, and I usually have at least three drafts finished before I ask for other people to proof my writing (maybe two or three people).

Most of the time I end up with five or six drafts before I consider the piece finished, though I've had a couple that have only gone through three or four before I'm satisfied.

Just curious as to the tendencies of others regarding this aspect of writing.

Note: I put "finished" in quotation marks because I don't find any piece of writing to ever be completely finished- there are almost always little things to tweak.

Certainly not stories of extreme cruelty or gory scenes like slave captures/ treatment, the Holocaust, war crimes such as cutting off of captured enemies' genitals or random beheadings/executions during wars, etc

My social studies teacher used to teach drama, until they got rid of that. He's explained that mostly this year, we will be doing a lot of things we did in that class, like performing skits and doing big projects. Artistic things. Well, he assigned our table groups. I'm friends with one girl in my group, and the three others I'm not too friendly with on a daily basis. We have to do a skit about why history is important, and our theme is the military. Me and one boy in our group were the only ones talking. I tried so hard to get them interested, but they did nothing and looked at me the whole time. I don't mind taking charge on these things, I love being creative and writing, but even when I went around and asked them to each say why history is important, they gave me pretty much nothing. I want so badly to get a good grade on this project. I'm not going to let myself fail because of them, but I need their help.
