I've been very tempted to throw my hand at song writing of recent. I've been able to write poetry for years and I was wondering since there is a particular structure to poetry writing that is kind of similar to song verses etc would I be able to carry over the skills? Or would it be difficult? What sort of things would I need to know / understand to help me write a song successfully? Any advice would be appreciated!

In the name of certainties, under its illusionary god, people have had an almost medieval belief in the destruction of other people’s ways and lives. Nations and individuals have come to regard themselves as gods. This certainty, whether its name is religion, imperialism, ideology, class, caste, race, or sex has been the great undoing of our measureless heritage, and has narrowed the vastness of human possibility and marvellous variety.

Will the collapse of towers of certainty signify the triumph of TIME over the insane arrogance of human certainties?

...example: I like it when people talk about themselves...I enjoy hearing other people tell me their "life" story. I "like" people who talk a lot, I like people who don't worry about my needs, I like people who have a "ribald" and "fearless" sense of humor, I like people who light-heartedly insult me, or question my motives...

So if I applied the "Golden Rule" to these things...I would run into serious trouble, because what I like people to "do unto" me, is "Not" what they would like done "unto" them...

Can you think of a similar situation in your own life where the "Golden Rule" does not apply...? (where I grew up, light-hearted insults and sarcasm was a sign of affection, and so I like it when people are light-heartedly insulting or sarcastic to me...)

Rene Descartes stated that for one to know that s/he exists, it is when you think. a thinking person is one who doubts, and the one who doubts is therefore a thinking self.

'i think, therefore, i am'.

I never believed Lee Harvey Oswald killed John F. Kennedy. I always believed it was the mafia that killed him.

I believe there were 3 shooters involved. Two firing from behind, and one from the front. Oswald wasn't one of the shooters. I think 4 shots were fired.

First Shot: Hit Kennedy in the upper back and exited his throat.
(Dal-Tex Building)

Second Shot: Hit Governor John Connally (School Book Depository Building)

Third Shot: Hit Kennedy in the head (Grassy Knoll)

Fourth Shot: Missed the entire limousine (Dal-Tex Building or the School Book Depository Building)

I also believe Lee Harvey Oswald was framed for the murder of officer J.D. Tippit. Oswald's gun was a Revolver. Two guns were involved in Tippit's murder. 4 shells were found. All 4 shells came from pistols. Two of them came from a Automatic Pistol.

The type of gun Oswald was carrying was a Revolver. Revolvers don't eject shells. Anyone who knows stuff about guns should know that. Oswald was set up.
