my answering friends, would you mind an extra effort?
if the question is stupid, as most believe, should it stay unanswered, so to add to the knowledge of its creator?
And would there not be the possibility of a more stupid question for a more talented creator?
And at last, is there a difference between the most intelligent and the most stupid question?

It's after 1a, I won't be able to go to bed for a few nights during this heat wave, it's still 100 degrees, the A/C doesn't work, I have no place to go, what should I do?
& that's the truth! I actually wish you'd asked about stupid answers. I know a lot more about them. But I absolutely have to say that if you don't check violentvictim's link, you are REALLY stupid! Can't remember when I laughed so hard.
Thank you violent victim! I wish I knew how to download it!

The only thing that can make a question stupid is the answers it generates. This question has probably made it into the category but then again, any question asked of Dubya is also sitting on the borderlines until his scriptwriters have had a chance to teach him an answer :)

Seeing that intelligent questions most often get stupid answers, does it follow that one should ask a stupid question in order to get an intelligent answer?

(If yes, and my answer, which is a question, is voted as best answer to your question, then your question is stupid. If no, and your question is intelligent, then it will be my answer that is stupid, and in that case, my answer should NOT be voted as best answer. But that will not be too hard to take, for my answer is really a question. , and I will have to wait until Yahoo start giving votes for "best question" - in which case, they will have to decide whether it is your question or mine that is the better. But even here, my question will be disqualified outright because it was given as an answer! )

To those who view questions as stupid, then the questions will be read to him as nonsense that may or may not require an answer from him. To those who view questions as intelligent, then the questions will be read to him as intelligent effecting on him to answer intelligently. So what is stupid and what is not stupid all depends on whether he is an idiot or an intelligent person.

Although for me there's really no stupid question, only interesting or non-interesting question.
I'll make it a try and ask: "Can you answer a question?"
As surely, one will answer either "yes" or "no". Even if he'll find it hard to answer a real question, this one ( though may sound stupid to others) will surely get an answer.

The most stupid question is to ask people what is the most stupid question. Sorry, but there's no stupid question.
