After the Civil War the U.S. sued Great Britain for damages that were caused by them building ships for the Confederacy. We originally asked for $1 billion but settled on $25 Million.
Is this true? And where can i find more information on this lawsuit?

Free will...?

I've recently began to consider the idea that we humans do not actually have free will at all, and that everything we do is predetermined, either by our genetic predispositions or our environment, or a combination of both. The theory that we have no free will is called determinism. Too much to explain but wikipedia has a great article on it.

How do I imprve my sketching skills?

Technical sketching skills that is, but still not that technical. Bascially technical sketching freehand, without equipment.

I need to be able to do rough sketches before doing full working drawings.

What are some tips, techniques or methods used? I know that sketching isn't technical or method like but are there any tips I should know?
