This is putting faith in a creation rather than in the Creator.
Same reason we do not worship the sun or moon or stars.

Asking why some mythology doesn't mention some pseudoscience is like asking why Little Red Riding Hood makes no mention of Puff the Magic Dragon.
They're both separate fantasies and delusions.
