No, because you would always want better, always want more and you would never be happy. You cant truly be thankful for something if you have no idea what its like NOT to have it. "Appreciation" comes from hard work and sacrifice. So, really, in a perfect world "appreciation" (especially of material things) does not exist.

I don't think i would be able to be thankful for it, if everything was perfect and happy then nobody would be grateful or appreciative when these things happen.
No one would be able to appreciate immense beauty, because everything would be beautiful!
I think bad things happening, make us grateful for the good things!

I don't think darkness is necessary to appreciate the light. Little children are pure, innocent, and able to see and appreciate the beauty in things that some cannot.

Apparently not. We must experience both sides of the spectrum to be able to fully understand and grasp concepts. That is why there are so many outlets for research and libraries and books and scholars and philosophers.

One must experience darkness to even KNOW the light.
Does a fish feel wet? Does it appreciate the liquid medium?

If their is no bad, the question about good is pointless. I think I would still be able to be thankful that I am still allowed to have good things.

I think so .... I certainly appreciated the sun much more after living north of the Arctic circle and experiencing three months of total darkness. Light and dark, good and evil, balance each other.

Yes, you must have good so you would know what bad is. Otherwise how would you know if it was good?
