Sometimes i feel like the way i think is like the way the ditzy blonde girls on tv talk. like i don't analyze everything enough. every minute of my life i am spending thinking about the way i don't think enough! i don't know how i can start becoming more mature and intellectual. don't get me wrong, i do very well in school (not trying to brag or anything, it's to show i'm not IQ stupid, more so lacking the ability to understand of the world) so how can i becoming like one of YOU (meaning all your philosophy geniuses who get so many things that are written "between the lines"? i do so well with logic and math, but not so much when it comes to interpreting emotions and causes for a person's decision. how can i change this?

btw, i'm 15. and a lot of my classmates already seem to have this ability. i want to be like one of them, how can i improve my "people smarts"? will i grow up ignorant like this?? thanks so much guys, i appreciate any answers. :]

{A bit rough I'm afraid and not for the lighthearted}

I Came With Instructions

I came with instructions
Like all children do
Just two simple words
Love me, won’t you?

I have always loved you
No matter the pain
I had just figured
You had a bad day

And I know now
Not to spill again
Cause it stains the carpet
(Well worth my sprain)

I’ve brushed all my teeth
Night after night
And learned how to sleep
Without a nightlight

The spankings you gave me
The whippings too
I figured it was you way
To say I love you

So I sit and think
Wondering where you are
I cry and I miss you
I feel that you’re far

Last thing I remember
Was breaking the phone
I tried to call you at work
Because I wanted you home

I was so hungry
And there was no food
I never meant to put you
In such a fowl mood

I found myself naked
On my closet floor
Bleeding from my ears
But pain was no more

I've posted pieces of writing (stories) but there always seems to be a issue with them. I always wonder how derivative books like Eragon become bestsellers when a lot of people dislike them but everyone keeps telling me that I need to get better just to impress an agent, let alone getting published.

Here's the link. If you like the 1st Chapter, please proceed to the 2nd. Thanks

If by the theory of evolution that when you die there is no Heaven and no Hell and that nothing you did in this life matters once you are dead, then why try acomplish anything at all in this life?
If there is no God, then there is no moral code to live by, then what happened on 911 wasn't bad nor was it good, it just happened.

Are they the equivalent of a ventriloquist's dummy, i.e. just writing down what someone else tells them, embellishing it with a more literary style? Do they retain creative vision in writing an "as told to" type story? If it's not their original idea like a novel, for instance, does that make them more of a journalistic hack? Last question: do they do this for "quick" money while pursuing their own endeavors or are they more limited in their scope and talent?

I've read extensively about the subject, and during the Middle Ages, Jews were well accepted in Islamic nations, becoming advisors and physicians to Caliphs and high kings all the while being persecuted by Christians, kicked out of Spain and England. Christians and Muslims were not that friendly either, what with the crusades.

But now the alliance has changed. Christians and Jews are buddies, whilst Islam is the odd man out, so to speak. Why the change? When did this happen? Does this have to do with Zionism and the Christian belief that Jews reclaiming the Holy Land is part of End Time prophecy as revealed in the Book of Revelations?

Thoughts?

Chapter I
"Pappy, doesn't the tree look grand this year?" I asked my father.
"Yes sweetie, it does," he replied.
I looked out of the frosty window towards the Midwinter Festival taking place outside. Snow was falling on the already icy roads. My mother was smiling in a rocking chair by the icy window. I sat on the hearth by the blazing fire that my maid had lit. Our festival tree was ablaze with beautiful ribbons, colored glass orbs, and streamers. Several candles were lit around the large parlour.
"Mum, can I open just one?" I cried. I wanted to open my Midwinter presents that were sitting under the tree.
"You may have one. But," she said as I made a move for the tree, "it is not under there. Call Miriam, will you?" I got up and shouted for Miriam out of the door frame. She came running at my call.
"Yes'm?" she asked.
"Bring Jellroa's present please," my mother ordered.
"Right away ma'am," Miriam obeyed. When she came back, she had a squirming bundle in her arms.
"Oh momma, is it a marmoset like I wanted?" I asked, hoping it was.
“You know us oh too well,” was the reply from my dear mother. The little monkey bounded out of Miriam's arms and headed straight for the tree. Before it could reach the beautiful tree, I had picked it up and was giving it some fruit. The little monkey looked at me before accepting my token.

This is a new story I'm working on.

What was her name and the name of the book she wrote...the last line that went something like "Despite it all, I still believe there's some good left in the world."?

How did that line go?

I don't know what non-union and union means. I landed a job in a movie that is union, and I heard somewhere that I can't be in a non-union film, since I'm already doing a union movie. So I don't know, its confusing, I don't really know what those words means. And which one is better? Help? Oh and please explain it in an EASY way. Some of you guys tend to talk all smart-like and I'm really dumb so I wouldn't understand. so yeah, help me please?

I'm 24. I love to go out hear live music, and have a few cocktails. I'll go to a reggae bar, bluegrass, techno, hip hop, whatever, but one thing is the same in every place.

People my age do not know how to dance.

Aside from the vague grinding and thrusting made popular by MTV, there's not a lot going on. I'm no professional, but i move to the music, listen to it, and like to have a little space to work with, and it seems impossibly out if place. Should I want to dance with a pretty girl it's usually even worse. her rump goes directly to my crotch and I'm suppose to.... what? bump it? (don't get me wrong, me love the ladies)

i don't expect a waltz, but this sloppy crowd grunting and thrusting is pitiful and boring. so what's up?

I know there are primarily two sounds/tones one sings like, and I'm not talking about soprano vs. alto, etc. I mean, if someone has a straight tone, they have no vibrato and it sounds solid. However, I can't seem to recall what the other term is.. the breathy, airy one. Does anyone know the technical term for it?
