Well, the things I remember most fondly from my own sailing days are the gales and rough passages. They were what made the peaceful anchorages and the smoother seas worthwhile though sometimes almost boring - and the same goes for all my passages ashore. My Grandpa used to say "A short life in the saddle, Lord, not a long life by the fire!" and now I'm old myself I know what he meant. But with climate change and over-population now I'm not sure I'd choose to travel far, either by land or sea. Perhaps the trick is to grab a cutlass and sally forth, anywhere, any way, while you still can.

With the price of gas, land yachts are a thing of the past. If you want an over-land schooner, you're going to need large sails and plenty of ammo for the road rage.

No. It depend upon you and your gifts.

Redesign your ship. Ensure that the boom and mast are sturdy. Check the mainsail and jibsail so that you can catch the wind. If using wheels, be sure that your bearings are encased. Regardless of the vehicle it must be shipshape and in bistol fashion. Such is Life.

Prior.Proper. Planning.
Courage and adaptability.
Resourcefulness are the tools you need.

Bon Voyage!

Life is not always "smooth sailing" and the road can get pretty dusty for all of us, BUT keep asking questions here on "Yay-hoo" (that's what my husband calls Y!A). Maybe we'll help smooth out the water/roads for you...and you can help us!! =D

The bumps in the road of life can be as small or as large as we choose. I'd walk it. Most people don't even notice a few bumps when they walk.
