SILVER STRINGS ON MY GUITAR


CHAPTER ONE
Sophie Leil

"Common grandfather, mother is waiting in the car with Grandmother!"
Sophie Leil called her grandfather from the front door, They were getting ready to go to a play.
"im coming!" he called back in his thick english accent.
Sophie Leil was a young girl growing up in Liver Pool England, she was born in 1925. She had a close relationship with
her Grandfather, Nickolas Leil, who was a former Navy Captain. But all through the years of being in the Navy,
he always wanted to play the guitar and sing. He only joined the Navy to make his father happy. He quit when his father
suffered a Severe heart attack and died in the hospital. Loosing his father was hard on Sophie's Grandfather and he just
couldnt be in the navy anymore. He decided to take on his dream to play guitar. He had played guitar since he was just
a young boy growing up just where Sophie did. Now its 1933...

My wife wants to go to the lake
She'll wear somethings so she won't bake
She'll try to find a real good spot
It might be hard, cause it is hot

There will be a lot of people there
The sun is shining everywhere
All we see is a blue sky
She's found a place for us to lie

I think she layed upon some ants
And they going up her pants
She had a look upon her face
That some how looked just out of place

It started with a tiny twitch
And then broke out with all out itch
I think the crowd thought it was funny
Some men are even throughing money

It seems no matter where we go
Drama comes, and it does flow
She started running to our car
And I am glad it wasnt far

She got right in an locked the door
But she's not done she wants some more
She has a spot that comes to mind
Thats a better place for her behind

I mean you hardly see this kind of thing advertised in the local job section do you?

When people talk about ancient history they refer to certain people as Plato (or whatever) 'the philosopher'. So what happened... one day they woke up and decided 'I'm gonna think about stuff... that'll be what I do and what I'm remembered for'?!

How does one become a 'philosopher' these days? Can you actually be employed to just sit there and ponder about random stuff for ages? Cos I'd be bloody great at it!!!

Time...
Is there enough to fix this mess or is it to late
And a little of me dies when i don't see your eyes
because i think of what could of been
and i realize it's just a dream unseen.
Unreal, through a time that didn't exist.
Theres this mist of rain but it turns frail
and disappears in a trail that explodes into reality.
Take my hand
Try to see things from my eyes and learn what lies beneath the surface
Take this spike from my heart
yet it still leaves a scar to remind me of what happened...

my first poem in a month. it's not very good and it might not make sense.


They say the sky is the limit
but if that were true,
we wouldn't have astronauts landing on the moon.

they say to not dwell on the past
but " those who do not know the past
are condemned to repeat it.

in my eyes the world is a mixed up place
where right is wrong
and wrong is right to some.



ok i'm trying to get back into the swing of things but it's not working. just look at my poem. it's no good. for some reason i can't seem to come up with a good one. maybe i'm trying to hard. also-- tell me how youd change this poem-- or add more or whatever. fix it a little if you want. think of a title. i need to go back to the drawing board.

New School, New Year


as we walk together.
we hear the crowded voices,
see memories that will last forever,
in a place for many choices.

getting lost in pairs,
looking for a bathroom anywhere,
hiding from this new scare,
in classrooms unaware.

its a new school,
a time for new fears,
its not our time to rule,
