JKR does not "say" this. But she also said that never say never. & I sure do hope that she comes up with something.

She has made some new beginings in the epilogue for sure.......

First there's Teddy Lupin, who, like Harry, has lost both his parents. & he has HARRY as his Godfather.

There the is Albus Severus Potter, Harry's second son, who ironically is the only one of Harry's children who has eyes like Harry's mother.

We know that Harry having eyes like his mother was an important part of this series, & JKR might have left this opening for herself to take off from at a later date.

Keep your fingers crossed

I seriously doubt it. JKR said she "might" publish a sort of encyclopaedia of the wizarding world which would include the gaps and excluded items in her original epilogue. But a new series about their kids? Much as I would like to read more of Harry Potter, I just think that another series with their kids as main protagonists would be kinda lame. I mean, can you think of any adventures they could get into now that Voldemort's gone that would be worthy of a new book, much less a series?

It would only suffer in comparison and I don't imagine I would want to see that happen. It would somehow affect and dampen the original series. Besides, I would think JKR might want to venture out into other subjects just to prove that she could write other books that would be just as successful.

I think it's enough that she left us with this longing for what would happen. Let our own imagination run wild and create stories of the "after-epilogue" ourselves. It would be more fun than always waiting to be spoon-fed by JKR. Sometimes I envy those fans who can write entire books posting as the next book, they surely imbibed JKR's penchant for imagination.

Well J.K. Rowling has said she is pretty sure she's not going to be writing any more Harry Potter books (she is going to write a Harry Potter encyclopedia, though, so that die-hard fans can learn more of the backstory)... but I guess you never know.

I doubt Rowling will do much when it comes to the kids taking off to Hogwarts. She has left the door open so that she can write about them in the future, but the only thing she's talked about doing (so far) that I've heard of is an encyclopedia about the characters of HP. Some of the questions that weren't answered in the book would be answered in that.

i'm a Christian and positively adore Harry Potter! My finished family contributors is going to church each and every Sunday and all of us help with Salvation military and each thing, and each and each physique everybody is extensive followers of Harry Potter. i for my section think of it extremely is ridiculous that there are human beings obtainable who think of that Harry Potter is evil. They of course have never examine the books, because of the fact the Harry Potter sequence is approximately bravery, loyalty, friendship, love, and so plenty greater. It teaches each and daily existence classes collectively as nonetheless being a perfectly written masterpiece.

I hope she doesn't. As much as I love the series and wish it weren't over, I think she's ended it well. There are few things worse than sequels which are just an attempt to squeeze every last penny out of a good story.

Personally it would be cool......but it won't happen. J.K Rowling isn't a selfish person she doesn't need any more millions. And if it were to happen where would she start? All the Potter children are different ages.

JK says she will probably not write any more about Harry Potter's world. But she will "never say never"

However, if someone else wants to....?

No way! All it is doing is showing that life goes on. That story is thoroughly resolved.

The only possibility I can see of another series would be a prequel, perhaps about our beloved Marauders and their generation.
