Yeah, agents know. It is virtually impossible to get a role in a commercial without an agent. It is virtually impossible to get an agent without being greatly talented or greatly beautiful, preferably both.

Contact local ad agencies. In NYC they are located on Madison Avenue. In Albany, I'm sure they are some. You have to find out when and where there are casting try outs. Big money. I know someone who made $750 for one day's work. Also you need to be in the actors union for most commercials.
