Which Operations, Heather?
The B-29, or Super Fortress, was used in WWII. A modified B-29 dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was the successor to the B-17 (Flying Fortress) which was the backbone of the Army Air Force for several years until the B-29, which could carry a much larger bomb load and travel farther supplanted it, particularly in the Pacific Theater,
The B-52 was used in Viet Nam - to great effect.
B-1 and B-2 I THINK were prototypes of the B-17.
