Call it a coincidence...but try this one on for size :) with my apologies to Carl...

Law of the Jung-le

Two eyes within the darkness stare
The bestial side that thinks to dare
To peer out of its inky lair
The anima-l that’s lurking there

No Freudian slip in midnight lake
Will from this creature ever take
The will to kill for killing’s sake
To gain an inch by each mistake

Reflections off of Ego’s pond
Away from things of which we’re fond
The forming of unconscious bond
Collectively a magic wand

Repressed and caged though it may be
It’s still a part of you and me
And in its shadow we should see
The part it plays in destiny

So when you hear the scream of night
Consuming dreams with single bite
Remind Persona of the right
The Jung-le has to shadowed sight

And if the answer that you give
Becomes a legal sedative
Perhaps in time we will forgive
The Jung-le law with which we live

The night comes too quickly
hurrying to lock doors and windows
the night's silence is deafening,
the eerie wind swirls and blows.

Creaking floors and dark corners
curled up on the sofa all alone,
the phone rings stabbing the dark,
dare I answer it, face that shark?
