Harry wasnt killed in the forest because the Elder Wand (the wand that Voldemort was using) knows that Harry is its true master, and therefore would not harm him. It just killed the Voldemort soul (Horcrux) inside him. The Elder Wand isn't working properly for Lord Voldemort. Voldemort thought by killing Snape he gained the wand's allegiance and power. He didnt know Draco was the rightful master, which in turn became Harry coz Harry defeated Draco a few weeks earlier.
I believe that the act of sacrificing himself and willing to be killed didnt save Harry, but his actions saved everybody else. Like Lilly Potter was willing to sacrifice but still died, but by her sacrifice Harry lived. If Harry Potter really died, i think his sacrifice would protect the others whom he died for. However because of Harry being the true master of the Elder Wand, Harry still lived the Killing Curse.

The curse didn't kill Harry, but it destroyed the horcrux of Voldemort that existed in Harry's scar. Remember that Voldemort's soul was so unstable that it would fragment spontaneously. Well, when he tried to kill the infant Harry, a part of him split off and eventually lodged in Harry's scar.
Years later, during the confrontation in the forbidden forest, Harry's "sacrifice" caused Voldemort to destroy his own horcrux. Since the horcrux was part of Harry's body, the effort knocked out both of them.
Were it not for Harry's "sacrifice", Voldemort wouldn't have died later at Hogwarts when he was struck by his own reflected killing curse...a part of him would have continued to live on in Harry.

When he "died", he was in the white space, and the first thing he saw was the creature under the chair. I believe that was the piece of Voldemort's soul that was put into him to make him the seventh horcrux. Because of that bond, being the horcrux, it made Voldemort a sort of horcrux for Harry as well. This was basically said by Dumbledore in that whole conversation.

His self sacrifice protected him, just like his mother's self sacrifice had protected him when he was a baby. The killing curse only killed the part of Voldemort that was in him, since it was Voldemort who had sent the curse against his own "horcrux".

Didn't you read it? Dumbledore told him that he willingly came to be killed because it would save everyone else. Therefore, he had the choice to go back or move on. He chose to go back so that he could help.

he didn't really die. both him and voldemort got knocked unconscious. then when he came to, he decided to pretend to be dead would be the best thing. but he lived, thats all that matters.

a million) Harry grew to become into the rightful proprietor of the Elder Wand because of the fact in HBP, Draco Malfoy disarmed Dumbledore, and by using doing this he forcibly took the wand from Dumbledore, making himself its rightful proprietor, even however he in no way touched it. Dumbledore in no way have been given a raffle to reclaim the wand, because of the fact he grew to become into killed. In DH, Harry forced a pair of wands remote from Malfoy whilst he grew to become into at Malfoy way. Doing this, he grew to enhance into the grasp of each and every of the wands Malfoy owned, the Elder Wand being considered one of them. Voldemort grew to become into in no way the rightful proprietor because of the fact even however Snape did kill Dumbledore, it have been planned all alongside so he did no longer stress something on Dumbledore. Like, if I had a wand and that i enable you borrow it, i might nonetheless be the owner considering which you probably did no longer scouse borrow it from me. i'm guessing Voldemort's spells did no longer reason Harry lots harm because of the fact he grew to become into employing the Elder Wand, and Harry grew to become into its proprietor, so it is going to possibly no longer likely inflict intense harm upon its grasp. 2) No, Dumbledore's wasn't incorrect. in case you keep in mind on the tip of GOF, after Harry tells Dumbledore that Wormtail used his blood to make Voldemort a physique, there grew to become right into a sparkle in Dumbledore's eyes. So Harry grew to become right into a Horcrux. whilst Voldemort forged the Avada Kadavra on him, it grew to become into like he had died, so the Horcrux died with him. yet he did no longer die, because of the fact a number of his blood grew to become into in Voldemort, anchoring his physique and soul with the living. 3) i think of the infant could have been the Horcrux that grew to become into in him, because of the fact whilst he grew to become into made a Horcrux, he grew to become into in straight forward terms a infant. So, it would be ineffective, in basic terms like Dumbledore, so it could have been there. desire this permits! in case you look on MuggleNet, you will see lots of interviews with JKR, and in step with risk that'll help too.
