The stupid digital camera I have tends to wash out (fade out) the more subtle colors in these photos taken of my art, but hopefully you'll get the idea.

The young woman in the painting is hardly the model type. I was going for an average girl, the type you might encounter in an art class, serious and passionate about her art and her life. I hope I was able to get this effect right.

Please let me know and be honest. Thank you.

MY PHEONIX

Hot air grazes my tongue
as I whisper hate into my atmosphere
screaming murder into the halo above
poisoning, blackening it as I stand here
filling the clouds in my sky with blood
flying high above me inside
now raining pure evil from my center
the devils blood
slitting, cutting, bleeding from the pressure
hallowing my viens
numbing the deep pain
waiting to exhail, but don't breath
everyone I will fail, but I will be free
I smiled in the dark as my light faded away
my former self got whisked into the sun of day
as I burned in the fire below
I realize I have lost my halo
I am rebourn upon my ashes
now between my dark and light there would be no more clashes

I don't go to church on Sundays, I don't call myself a Christian (or anything, not even atheist). I just know there is God in every person alive, and in the universe. It's all too perfect and beautiful to be a mistake.

The Law of Attraction loosely states that if you wish for something hard enough, it will happen. The Murphy's Law is an informal rule which sayys that if something can go wrong, it will go wrong.

I'm not arguing about the veracity of either, but I'm just curious if it's possible to reconcile the two? If yes, what does it say about the nature of human desire?

We did great in WWI and WWII but Korea and Veitnam and now Iraq (why has everyone forgotten about Afghanistan?) have been shabbilly run with no apparent aim or goal other than to fight.

If you was a king of say some where in asia and had 12,000 war elephants at your disposel. What would you do to make them superior using the current technology of that time but using what you know now?

I would blind them like with horse blinders and train them to move at the drivers response. Give them full chainmail armor that even covers the belly and still hangs. I would also clog their trunks and ears before battle so they can't hear sounds of pigs and can't smell blood. I would do everything to keep them powerful but yet not run amok. I would still supply the driver with a hammer and stake.

What would you do?

I am going to a workshop for a week and they asked me to prepare a monolouge that is age appropiate (in my case ages 15-18 and female) and published. They also want two 2-person scenes (and one of them has to be boy/girl). As many would know, finding the perfect monolouge is quite a difficult task and I am not doing to well on hunting for the 2 character scenes either. If any of you would love to share some with me that are great, I would be most appreciative!
