I think we are born into this life with a specific life experience in mind, complete with some sort of calling and specific people to guide us along the way. However, I also believe that in order to make the above more interesting, a bit of life is thrown in at random times, causing us to ask the very question you have posted.

Isn't it just delightful?

It's neither.

To believe in Destiny would take the purpose out of life.

Accident and luck ignores the value of effort and planning.

It's neither Destiny nor Luck, it's planning with a purpose followed by action.

Good and evil come to both Christians and non-Christians, but I find that if you are truly walking in the Spirit your events are ordered. The devil tried to kill me off several times by car accidents but I came out without a scratch except one time I had internal injuries, and called my church and the Sunday School class prayed and I was instantly healed with no further pain (which had been continual). The devil has tried to totally mess my life up and it could take a book to tell you about all of it, but I'll tell you one thing, I was bleeding to death with no help just a few weeks ago. I had never called 911 before, but this time I knew it was necessary, but every kind of help was not available, in fact my phone was disconnected, and no one around here could or would respond to anything. But, I knew it was in the Lord's hands and he wasn't going to let me die. A friend from TX on the Internet, Larry (East Lightning) called 911 for me, and minutes later the police were at the door while the medical team was standing out of sight, so when I told the problem they came in and saw all the blood, took tests, asked questions, got my medical card and away we went. Praise God some people were praying for me cause the blood "stopped on its own" according to the nurse. And during the whole time the Lord gave me the peace that passes understanding. Praise the Lord!

Destiny has an end, I would be happily infinite. 'Accidentally purposeful' would be an oxymoron, a self contradicting predicate.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

Yes, but I like to think of fate/destiny as more of a "choose your own adventure" dealios.
But we're generally fated to end up in the vicinity of "destiny". Destiny isn't one specific outcome, but rather a ballpark guess-timate... it's hard to explain.

no one can be 100% sure but my belief is that we are here to learn lessons and to figure out what is and is not important. we need to learn, how to love and be loved, how to forgive, be tolerant of others and to be more giving rather than being selfish. I never believed in reincaration before but as you get older(closer to death) you start to realize that there may be life after death so, I'm trying very hard to live a good life because I for one do not want to come back here to learn any more lessons!

In what way could there be "purpose"? The entire universe will end as nothing. We can have a lot of fun in the meantime, but everything is hopeless.

Depends on your religious convictions...those with religion believe things have purpose..those that don't believe in religion believe sh!t happens.
