Great question.
One definition of love is Being Here Now. Experiencing the moment. Totally accepting the Here and Now. You know what makes amusement parks so great? When we're on thrill rides, we're so totally in the moment that time stands still. When we experience that sensation in relationships, we call it "love". We're totally involved in experiencing the other person. That's one answer.
The other answer is "time" is an illusion, NOW is all there is. Our linear thinking sees events as happening one after the other, thus creating the concept of time - our concept of past, present and future. It's the only way we understand. Unfortunately, we're rarely present unless we're totally involved in something. Being Here Now or being in the present eliminates "past" and "present" thus stopping time.
Did that make any sense...lol!

I do not think that Love can stop Time, or that Time can stop Love. When you are with the one and only in your Life, it seems that when you are both together Time stands still for Love, but it is only our imagination or the feelings we have churning inside for that special one. Turning it around it is the same as the above, Time cannot stop Love from happening, to a couple who Love each other.

I would have to say that Love can stop Time. Time might still go on, but the love will still be there. Time cant stop you from loving someone. If you truly love them.
Sometimes...you can fall so completely in love with someone that time really does seem to stop. Almost as if your heart is locked in the time that you fell in love.

Love can not stop time, time can stop love.( meaning You can be in love with someone for years then something happens you're not in love with that person anymore. It took time to find that out, but you needed that time.)

True love can stop time through the ability to transform the present into an infinite moment. Love gives you the power to focus on the here and now. When you value moments, their nature seems to prolong itself. Love gives you the opportunity to appreciate moments, and the sensation of time being stationary either comes from temporary happiness or from your self's need to stop time and close it in that one moment of happiness.
Time is a natural healer so it can wash away almost anything, whether it's love or hate. So I would say yes the both questions.

Love can't stop time and you shouldn't be worried about time stopping love . Love is one of the greatest thing there is here on earth and it shouldn't be stopped . Love from your heart and open your heart to love .

I'm inclined to say no to both. Time is only as we perceive it. "It" can be winged & fleeting, or as immobile as a lonely heron in the marshes. Through love, I've experienced timelessness; an awesome sense of wholeness & NOW & nothing else. So, love can stop--actually make "time" non-existent. Time cannot stop love, even through death of the one loved. Beautiful answers from shahbarak & Fr.Al as always! I think they've both gained wisdom to articulate far better than I.

I feel like love can stop time cause it pauses the moment you look into the person for the first time you fall in love, its on then that you feel like everything aroung you has stopped and you realize that you stopped time also the movement of everyone around you stops extept for that one person who you deeply stare into their eyes. Time cant stop Love cause that true feeling never leaves, without thinking about it you can remember what that person was wearing, how they looked at you, how you felt the feeling was mutual cause that person paused too.
