In the mirror of my mind, looking back l saw
what time can not erase, nor can I touch again.
But what I feel is deep gratification
For a life lived as I would not have otherwise
For a love known as I would not know otherwise
And for the beauty that I behold of all life before me
…that I would not have seen otherwise
But for those memories I would not have become
The person that I am now
…and would not have been otherwise….
(I’m sorry if I wrecked it. That was such a good introduction - I modified a teeny bit though - and I just felt compelled to continue).
