what is the atmosphere among the people about ron paul there? its hard for outsiders to really get a good guage on this election with the media and polls and how they are conducted.

I am trying to figure out how to regain some control of a new relationship. I have noticed that she is becoming distant in some aspects. It is strange because one day she can be so caring and open, and the next day she seems so closed up. It even seems like she may be avoiding me sometimes. She doesn't want to talk on the phone often, and when I text her i can only get 3 or 4 messages out of her. Then she makes up some excuse later about her phone dying or falling asleep. It seems like she doesn't respect my time and effort like I resect hers and it really hurts me. I think she might be taking me for granted, like I will be there no matter what, so its ok to put me on the back burner. Sometimes she seems so into me, and other times it seems like she doesn't care at all. I have confronted her about this, but she says that nothing is wrong. I'm trying to do this in a way that doesn't make me look needy. How can I instill some more respect into her without looking like a jerk??

I was in a relationship about 10 yrs ago and the guy nearly killed me. I was beat up pretty bad, thrown thru a door, lost 1 front tooth and have a scar next to my nose from being punched in the face. I had some serious injuries, a brain concussion, stitches in my face and lost some hearing in my r ear for awhile.
My boyfriend asked me about it which means to me someone has discussed it with him. I do not want to discuss it, so I lied and said it never happened.
Its very personal, and I am not sure I should discuss my past with someone unless I know they are forever my partner for life. I think he crossed a boundary and I know he tells his adult kids my personal business, so I dont tell him anything I dont want spread all over the town.
How do I deal with this? I am not sure if I am being paranoid because I think he wants to know my business to have something to talk about with his adult kids.

I love seniors, and on occasion I help out some of the older people I know from time to time. This is one of two questions I have today regarding the elderly, and I would like some firsthand answers from those of you 65 and over, please.

Why do so many of the elderly stop bathing as frequently, or at all? I understand that there are those who have limited mobility cannot bathe themselves, but I have known many who, despite the usual aches and pains associated with aging, are able to bathe, but don't. I see this as a recurring theme with so many seniors, and I am wondering; Is it a matter of just not caring anymore, or is it a matter of being more trouble than the person thinks it is worth to hop in a shower for 5 minutes?

I would hope that even if I were 80 and in so-so health, that I would still want to take care of my personal hygeine. I would imagine that these same people, when they were at my age, felt the same way, so I don't understand.

Im 20. Ive been dating a girl (also 20) for almost 3 months. 2 months ago she told me she wants a relationship eventually with me but she wants to move very slow. She said she gets scared of relationships and it is hard for her to open up because she has been hurt badly in the past. Things have been going good since then but she hasnt said anything else about getting more serious. We are leaving tomorrow for a three week Christmas break (we live in different states and wont get to see each other.) How can I know that she will still see me after the break and wont just come back with a new bf??

About a month ago I was checking prices on flat screens in my local Sears and I asked a simple question about the monthly payments on a Sears card. The guy signed me up for a Sears card when I clearly told him I didn't want one. Anyways, I received the card in the mail about a week ago and I still have not activated it. I read that it is hard to get a Sears card...why is that? I have a $3,000 limit and I would like to cancel it without even activating it. Do I just call Customer Service? Will they charge me for cancelling it without activating it? Or does that even matter? Thanks in advance!

I was raised Catholic, and lived a tough life. Beyond my years of drugs, lying, pain and all that I did to continue that lifestyle, I have a belief in God-but unsure of specifics beyond that. My son, who is about to be 9, has a strong interest in God and Jesus (due to mostly my mother's influence). I find this to be fascinating...my mother lives half way across the country, but has this huge influence upon my son's life (as she should).

He reads the children's bible he has on a regular basis and begs to go to church with my mom and I every time she visits. He loves the catholic church and loves reading and learning stories about Jesus.

My question...what do I do with a child that has such a thirst for Jesus? I am not sure whether I believe in him or not, but if my son does then I want to support that. But, obviously I am not the teacher for him. I cannot answer his questions without feeling like a fraud. I want him to believe what I had, and have, such a hard time believ

I have a 9 year old daugher that I just took her mom to court and got the parenting time guidelines. I visited her at her moms before this court thing untill she was 5 always asking for more. then she came to my house and never got over night. her mom has refused to refer to me as dad and calls her new husband dad and so my kid wont call me dad now either. she seems to be ok here it is hard to get her to come sometimes. there was a time she loved spending time with me then with her mom alienating me she now really dosent want to come. it is hard on me and hard on her. is there a time that it is to damaging for everyone to force the visits. what do I do. be consistant with visits. or leave the door open and try to communicate but let her mom ruin her more. I just am fed up I love my kid but this hurts so bad. is is mentally damaging to her for me to make her come. even though she is usually fine once here. encouragement and advice please
