Regain some control in my relationship???

I am trying to figure out how to regain some control of a new relationship. I have noticed that she is becoming distant in some aspects. It is strange because one day she can be so caring and open, and the next day she seems so closed up. It even seems like she may be avoiding me sometimes. She doesn't want to talk on the phone often, and when I text her i can only get 3 or 4 messages out of her. Then she makes up some excuse later about her phone dying or falling asleep. It seems like she doesn't respect my time and effort like I resect hers and it really hurts me. I think she might be taking me for granted, like I will be there no matter what, so its ok to put me on the back burner. Sometimes she seems so into me, and other times it seems like she doesn't care at all. I have confronted her about this, but she says that nothing is wrong. I'm trying to do this in a way that doesn't make me look needy. How can I instill some more respect into her without looking like a jerk??

It has been a few days since we have seen each other, and we both said that we wanted to see each other tonight. So I was supposed to see her tonight, but she said that she had to study when she got home from christmas shopping, and she didn't want me to drive 45 minutes each way to see her for only an hour. I told her that I didn't mind, so she said that she would call me when she was on her way home and tell me when to leave. I made plans to drive there, and when I texted her to see where she was, she was playing bingo with some cousins! Shouldn't she have informed me of her change of plans? She can seem so into me one minute, and so distant the next. I really like her, and I want to make things work, but I'm scared that I might not be able to do so.... It is really starting to aggravate me!!! What is going on? She is obviously taking advantage of me. Is there some way to scare the respect back into her if necessary? Thanks for the help.

No you cannot scare respect it something you earn . just leave her alone a few more days and time will tell, sounds to me she has more than one to talk to she don't say much she'll get confused. She may say the wrong thing..

She appear to have sensed that you have a bloated ego and for any friendship with you, she will have to surrender.She is apparently avoiding that situation and avoiding you too.
