Actually, it says more about people than it does about God. People would rather serve their own wants, than serve God. Even if it means eternal torment. It is the ultimate "Nobody is going to tell me what to do."

It says that he gave you a chance to admit you were a sinner and accept the salvation offered by his only Son,,,who died a cruel death for your sins,,,not his,,,yours....and you rejected that sacrifice,,,,,so God had no choice,,,,sin cannot enter Heaven so if you decide you are good enough just as you are,,,then you are to blame for where you spend eternity..God has to keep his word and his word says,,,if you do not repent,,,,and stay rebellious toward your maker,,you cannot enter into the Kingdom of God....your choice,,,,

Do you think that God wants you to burn in hell? haha. that is not the case. First, let me say this, (and this might offend you but it's true and you're gonna have to get over it) YOU DESERVE HELL! Not just you in particular, but everybody on this gosh dang earth. Why do we all deserve hell? Because We are all ugly corrupt sinners. BUT! here's the good news. God loves you, and he doesn't want you to burn in hell, in fact, he wants you to live in heaven, with streets paved with gold and all other kind of SWEET stuff. And he loves you soooo much that HE came down to earth to die for your sins, so that you can go live with HIM in heaven for the rest of eternity. All you have to do it believe in Him. How hard is that?

"The idea of an omnipotent God who creates a creature capable of reason, then throws an eternal hissy fit when that creature doesn't spend all his time telling God how wonderful He is... Well it seems like rather insecure behavior for an all powerful, all loving being."

It says that God is just! For those who deny Him (not saved by Christ Jesus) and choose to take pleasure in their sin rather than follow Him, they're punished for all eternity in hell - simple as that!

God is perfect, and nothing less than perfect can be with him. If someone has done anything wrong, they will be turned away. We have all failed that test, so Jesus came to atone for us. If we accept his gift of salvation, we will be saved. It's not about doing good things.

This says that God will not impose himself on people who refuse to believe him and who refuse to love and honor him. Those who choose to not believe in him are free to spend eternity without his presence. That means that they are relegated to the realm of Satan and his demons. This is not God's punishment of them, but their choice to spend eternity in their unbelief.

It tells me what the ol story tellers thought about those who didn't go along with their thinking. They invented a threat to use on the mindless and gullible of the era to bring them around to their way of thinking.
