Vegetarians don't eat meat because of cruelty to animals. I've been thinking about this. If the majority agreed with Vegetarians and stopped eating meat then there would be no reason for farmers to keep cattle. Would this not mean denying those cattle their chance of life and therefore they would simply become extinct. My conclusion therefore is that eating meat is less crues than not eating them. Any vegans with a thought?

I work in accounting and I found out that one of the partners of the company was not depositing the correct amount in the company's bank account for some time. I notified the other partner of the company. Then he called the guility partner into my office and they had a huge fight swearing and yelling right in front of me. Yikes - not good ! I think I need a vacation.

THE IRISH CANDLE STORY

Mrs. Donovan was walking down O'Connell Street in Dublin when she
met up
with Father Flaherty. The Father said, "Top o' the mornin' to
ye! Aren't
ye Mrs. Donovan and didn't I marry ye and yer husband two years
Ago?"

She replied, "Aye, that ye did, Father."

The Father asked, "And be there any wee little ones yet?"

She replied, "No, not yet, Father."

The Father said, "Well now, I'm going to Rome next week and I'll
light a candle for ye and yer husband."

She replied, "Oh, thank ye, Father." They then parted ways.

Some years later they met again. The Father asked, "Well now, Mrs.
Donovan, how are ye thes e days?"

She replied, "Oh, very well, Father!"

The Father asked, "And tell me, have ye any wee ones yet?"

She replied, "Oh yes, Father! Three sets of twins and 4 singles, 10
in all."

The Father said, "That's wonderful! How is yer loving
husband doing?"

She replied, "E's gone to Rome to blow out yer fookin' candle!

The officer was had a report the landscapers had fly tipped . After explaining to the landscapers , and being told we wasnt in, he walked into my backgarden and went to my conservatory door.
The landscapers , he knew were the people he wanted to speak to because the van had their name on it.
When i was told about it i rang them.I asked why did he enter my garden he said he wanted to be sure we knew the gardeners.
They had been doing the garden for 2 weeks so we obviously knew them, and so did he after he had spoken to them.
I have a parrott worth £1500 in the conservatory and the back is kept secure.
Did he trespass on my land without reasonable cause,And is his excuse he wanted to speak to us rubbish , as he should have come to the front door like any normal person wanting to speak to the house owner should?

The commandment about “graven images” is one of the most misunderstood scriptures. Consider Exodus 25: 18-19: “And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.” Here, God is commanding that images be made!

So is God contradicting himself? First he say don’t make a graven image, and then he orders graven images to be made?

No, he is not contradicting himself. The problem is that folks have misinterpreted the words “graven image.”

According to Strong’s Concordance, the original Hebrew words that were translated into “graven image” referred to idols (Here is the concordance link: http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=06459 ). Of course, we know that an idol is a false god, or something that you place above God. Since the Cheribum are not false Gods, there is no contradiction.

I don’t think so!
That is giving them WAY too much credit.
They may take lives, they may take property and create economic havoc, but they can’t take my freedom.
So, is the war in Iraq about my freedom or the Iraqis freedom or both?
I just don’t get how people can buy into these stupid slogans.
Please someone explain.
Thanks for reading!

Religion: A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.

So in essence, most Atheists are religious because they believe in their cause or principle and are devoted to it.

I had a few blood tests done because I haven't gotten a period in about 5 months. The tests showed that I have an overactive Thyroid, low Estrogen levels, and cysts on my ovaries (ultrasound). My doctor said that I'm not eating enough and if I don't change my diet, I could be unable to have children later in life. I usually have cereal with soymilk for breakfast, some kind of fruit for lunch, and plenty of vegetables with my dinner, or a salad for dinner. She says I need to have something from each food group with each meal. I know this is going to be very hard for me. I don't think I can comfortably eat that much.
I've also been losing weight and they think that I'm doing it on purpose. I think that has to do with the Thyroid.
Do you think I really need to have something from each food group with every single meal?

Today I had whole grain toast with apple butter and some low fat yogurt for breakfast, and a mini pita w/ peanut butter, and some strawberries for lunch. How's that?

I'm starting to feel hopeless, depressed and all.. I easily get angry. I wasnt like this before. I was sooo optimistic before..... But.. times have changed I guess..

So.. how do you guys cope with depression? When you feel stressed and know there's still a lot to do as if there's very little time left, what do you do? When you start to feel hopeless, how do you counter it? How do you stay sane? My niece says I shouldn't take life seriously.. I think she means I need to stay positive. But just how....?
