I think it just proves the old saying the "Absolute power corrupts, absolutely." I don't think that anyone given that much power could come away without doing something shady.

Every President doesn't. More than just Kennedy, Lincoln and Washington didn't. Reagan didn't. Carter's only problem was refusing to do things Washington's way, and the effort at least was a good one, trying to rescue the Iranian hostages. Vote for somebody this time you respect.

Because they are politicians. I heard a question once on the radio that asked, "What is the most evil city in the US." people said things like Las Vegas, San Fransisco and New Orleans. At the end of the show the host said he thinks the most evil city in the US was Washington DC. I think he was probably right.

Not true. There were no scandals with Carter or Ford. That's probably why Carter was never popular...he was too good & too honest.

BTW Kennedy had the bay of pigs and Cuban missile crisis.

In the case of George W. Bush, what scandal are you referring to?

I can't think of any.

Certainly, even the Democrats don't think he has committed any impeachable offenses.
