17,250 feet at Chucutalya, Bolivia. A rudimentary 'sky slope'.I found I could walk only up to 10 or 15 meters without running out of breathe.

The top of Fuji-san (Mt. Fuji), Japan. 12,392 feet! An absolutely breathtaking view of the countryside from way up there. Took me 5 hours & 48 minutes to climb to the top, and called my daughter on my cell phone (I had great reception), and took just over 4 hours to get back down. I was dehydrated and blisters on my heels the size of quarters. but it was so worth it!

Mount Teidi in Tenerife we were a bit disappointed as it was too windy to get right to the top but we were not far off.

Mount Teide in Tenerife. It is 9000ft above sea level and we were so high up, we were above some clouds and the air was very thin and we got very breathless.

Working in the mountains in Idaho one summer, our camp was about 7000 feet, we went up higher to work every day.
