Is it a tingling feeling? Tingling in the fingers can be caused by a nerve being pinched in the neck. My father had this problem, and you should see a physician.

If it is an actual feel of harnessing energy, like you could amost shock someone with it, then maybe you have inherited mutant electric powers that were found as a child but since then been latent. This reawakening of electromancy may actually spawn into the ability to fire lightning bolts, with the effectiveness of a taser, rendering your enemies powerless! You might also be abel to charge dead batteries and save on power. Have you been eating differently lately? Maybe you ate home cooking as a child, and recently decided to go back to your roots, after eating establishment-served food all your life.

The more likely cause of the condition you present would be a nerve impingement. That feeling can be associated with what is felt after hitting your crazy bone. The tingling will last for several seconds. If there is sufficient pressure on that nerve, it will continue to illicit that feeling for extended periods of time.

Is it tingling and numbness? Could be carpal tunnel syndrome. Look it up and read about it.

Get it checked as you could have nerve damage which can be permanent.
