I celebrated my 1st annivesary a couple weeks ago. I have heard the saying "the first year is the hardest"...well, our first year was a walk in the park....I was just curious to see who else had an easy first year...does it get even better? I can't imagine it being hard to be with the man I love...what was your experiences?

Other ridiculous birth examples are used, but here's what they don't understand:

A monkey giving birth to a human would be an act of creation! not evolution. Evolution is the gradual change of allele frequencies in a poplulation, which in turn may give rise to a new species over enough time.

That's even worse than the low chance argument (in which people assume the theory says all of life's features arise by chance, therefore disregarding natural selection).

What is the best argument you've seen against the theory of evolution? And if you don't agree with the theory, what's your major reason why?

We both play tennis but in different seasons. Would that be a good way to get to know him? Thanks so much I really appreciate the answers!!

I was just drinking a bottled tea, and it tasted rotten. It doesn't normally taste that way, but it was very sour, hot, and left a bad aftertase in my mouth. Could there be poison?

I upgraded (some IE 7 upgrade, dunno which) and after the mandatory restart XP does not see the restart! I still have the little Auto Update yellow "shield". I can't install ANYTHING else because "another program or update is waiting to restart the computer". Restarted prolly 10 times now and nothin. I have even re-installed XP and still can't get rid of the yellow shield. How can I dump the need for a restart?!

3 mo. old chi, vaccinated, 1.5 lbs. started with a cough like something stuck in throat. Suspected kennel cough, Vet couldn't confirm, cough seemed to get better. She had intermittent yellowish loose bowel movements at same time, Vet changed diet with added cooked rice, only to make it worse. Now puppy is drooling so bad when it sleeps, it looks like it's had a bath. Upper stomach under ribs growls every morning like someone starving, yet she doesn't even want to eat now. Vet gave her Diarsanyl yesterday - hasn't helped yet, and now when she does cough it sounds more wet; I suspect from all the drooling. I know everyone's going to say to get new Vet but there is no better Vet in area...believe me, I know. Any Vet's out there with any suggestions? This puppy needs HELP.

For example Iowa law states ""a person shall not be intoxicated or simulate intoxication in a public place." Intoxicaton being " the state of being affected by one or more psychoactive drugs." Which is what is happening even if you consume a single beer, it will affect you given the makeup of alchohol even if that affect can only be measured in scietific analysis. If so, why does the state allow the restaurant to serve it at all? If a cop wanted would the state allow them to arbitraily pick a restaurant... arrest every person who consumes alcohol and take them down to the local jail and get strip searched (which is commonplace in most bookings)....All be it impractical, is it techincally legal...must people merely rely on the "good nature" of cops and lack of availibity of resources and manpower to avoid such treatement when having a budweiser at the local Applebees???

''I should be in charge'' said the blood, ''because I circulate oxygen all over so without me you'd all waste away.''

''I should be in charge,'' said the stomach, ''because I process food and give all of you energy.''

''I should be in charge'' said the legs, ''because I carry the body wherever it needs to go.''

''I should be in charge'' said the eyes, ''because I allow the body to see where it goes.''

''I should be in charge, ''said the rectum, ''Because I'm responsible for waste removal.''

All the other body parts laughed at the rectum and insulted him, so in a huff, he shut down tight.

Within a few days, the brain had a terrible headache, the stomach was bloated, the legs got wobbly, the eyes got watery, and the blood was toxic.

They all decided that the rectum should be the boss.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS....

In all walks of life it is usually the ''Asshole'' that's in charge!!!

I have a friend who is currently going through this and she is so depressed. I don't get involved with their business, but I could not imagine my husband telling me he is too busy to watch OUR child. He does this to her all the time and as a matter of fact we were supposed to hang out this weekend and couldn't because one again, he had something to do.

I would never suggest this to her, but would it be wrong if she decided to act like she was going to the store or if she put the child to sleep, got dressed and left the house and that way he wouldn't have a choice to keep his own child?

Has anyone ever been in this situation?
