There are not really any games that will make your child "smarter".

It's a marketing tool. Oh, look - our games will make your child smarter ... and then everyone buys that.

If you want your child to be "smarter" - it's the every day activities and opportunities to teach them things. Get them excited about learning and reading at a young age - that's the best thing.

it doesn't always have to be a game that is educating your child, you can do it! Play with blocks together and teach your child what shapes they are, and colors too. Your child is always learning. I'm not sure what age you are talking about, but toddlers are watching everything the people around them are doing, so if you take the time to talk to them while you are doing your everyday activities even will increase their education!

The best is, to let your kid watch you work, clean repair things, organize, read some stories and poems, try to build something with blocks. Kids don't get smart with games, they are born with a brain, which will develop for the next 26 years into something very complicated, luckily despite the crap, the Chinese throw at us.

All games which use the imagination are extremely benaficial to children....playing, shop, house and other fantasy games work more parts of the brain then any other type of play.

Music is the best! Any nursery rhymes that you can sing and dance to. Uno is a great game and my daughter started playing it when she was 2. Memory is wonderful. You can also play with flash cards, sequencing cards, matching cards, alphabet games and puzzles.

Any education games are a must for learning. You will find them at any toy store these days as well as any parent/teacher store. They come for all ages so take a peek and then take a pick.
