You should wait till both you & your boyfriend/fiance are ready. And you will know when its time. You will be ready finacially, emotionaly, and most of all physically. Dont rush into marriage..most ppl who rush into it end up divorced in 1yr or less and it never ends good. My bf and I have been engaged for 4 yrs and still arent married...I want to but he says hes not sure if hes ready so time is of the essence! Enjoy being together as a couple and marrige will come when its ready.... =] i hope this makes sence to you

When ever it feels right. Some people get married after a week, some never get married. For me it was 5 years. I knew after that long and I still love him and want to see him everyday it was right. Just wait until it feels right.

Some people date for ever get married and soon end in divorce, others date for days, weeks or months get married and last a life time. I have to agree, you marry the right person at the right time.

Honey, there is no rule about when you and your boyfriend should get married. Every human being on this planet is different. You may feel ready to get married after knowing him for 3 years, while someone else may feel ready to get married after 5 years. It's a personal thing and completely depends on you and your significant other.
Good luck!

I think it's different for everyone but more than 2 years atleast...or as long as it takes for you to know the person inside and out like their flaws and all, even if that takes you 7 years. Depending on your age, lifestyle, and how the relationship is needs to all be looked at.

Miss Julie, The most obvious thing is of course is to be totaly and truly in love ! Then both people need to be in sinc on prioities. The man needs a safe and secure job with insurance! Make Jesus the head of your household ! It is better to buy than to rent in the long run ! Total honesty.

It is different for different people. My wife and I married after only about 4 months and are still very happily married more than 14 years later.

When you are ready, you will know. There is no magical time frame that will make a marriage a success. When it is right, it is just right ... whether it is 2 years down the road or 2 days!

it's hard for me to say, because no matter how long you date, it will still be very different when you move in together! i would say that if you are ready to get married, a year would be a good amount of time to date.
