well if you are breastfeeding, it will definitely take time for you to have your period back to it's normal cycle... As long as you are breastfeeding you will not have your periods... Don't be alarmed, it's normal...Breastfeeding alone is a natural contraceptive already...

I didn't have a period until about 6 weeks after I quit breast feeding. I was almost worried that I was pregnant again! I guess it just takes a while for your body to get itself back in order.

Actually it depends on the person. Some women get it about 3 months after having a baby, breastfeeding or not, and some will not get it until they quit breastfeeding. I got mine about 7 months after...one month after I had quit breastfeeding. But just because you aren't getting your period doesn't mean you aren't ovulating so be sure to use something just in case! Just enjoy your time without a period. It's so nice!

most nursing mom's don't get a period until they are done nursing. That was why in the 'old days' people thought that nursing was a form of birth control. That is now known not to be true. I am not as lucky as you. I get my period withint a few months with my babies, even though I nurse

particular, particular, particular! no count if it is the mini pill (progesterone in straight forward terms) or the familiar pill (estrogen and progesterone). The mirena iud is a tremendous selection and there is minimum absorption of progesterone from the iud into the the remainder of your physique. solid success and congrats for making this type of healthful selection to your son! Get a lot of help... breastfeeding could be troublesome in the past each thing, whether this is less difficult and extra handy than bottles as quickly as the educational curve is over. And, for some, it basically is going easily from day a million.
