My son wants it desparately. A lot of his friends have it. Is it really that bad?

The game was not intended for younger players. I contains a lot of mature themes to it. A parent buying a game for a child should become very familiar with the ESRB ratings (link below) and look for that rating on every game before purchasing it.

if you got it at 9 then your parents obviously take no interest in what you're playing. May god have mercy on their souls.
Its your call though, it is a M rated game, would you want your 10year old to be subjected to this? Im 26 with no kids but if I had some I for sure would deny him M rated games. Why not try him with some T rated games to see how he fares with them.

If I had a 10 year old, I would NOT buy him this game. All of the GTA games are excessively violent, there are prostitutes in the game, and drug references. It has a "M" rating for a reason. Be a responible parent, and don't buy this game.

not a chance. That game is for mature audiences. It has pimps, hookers, sex, violence and foul language. I cant think of a worse game for a 10 year old. I think its a great game but I am an adult. No way I would let a kid under 14 play that. actually make that 16.

it is awfull full of betting up women and children carjacking and drive by shootings nothing to even let your kid watch. it is not even a game adults should play it teaches children bad things and they will want to be just like the guy on the game

Yeah most kids today know these kind of mature content in games. Not that bad as I thought. Go get it for him he would enjoy it!

don,t get it.
you can shoot peoples head of with snipers alot of swearing and you want your son to be like that?
im 14 and i hate the hell out of it because its a stupid game.
