lol, i would definately say sports, clubs, activities, school events, gossip (jk), and idk anything that has a lot of interest

Well I would think you'd write about your clubs, sports teams, maybe new teachers or others on staff. Cd and dvd reviews? Book reviews? Upcoming important events at your school that students and parents need to know about.
Do you not have a teacher working with you on the newspaper who is advising you?

Things that happen in school and to people in school. People love reading about themselves and their friends. They get a kick out of it. Also include a hey what's new...like new clubs and people that had something new and exciting happen in their lives. You can have a drop box outside the news paper room where people can put ideas or things they would like posted!

People love to read about other people - lots of interviews, either of students, teachers, coaches, or people in the news in your community. Lots of pix too.
