Nobody answered these questions I asked on the Navy OCS discussion forum, so I hope better luck here.

Just got pro-rec'd for SWO (my 3rd choice) even though I was hoping for IW (1st choice) or Supply (2nd choice). Now waiting for finselect.

I hear they move you around all the work departments of SWO. Will a time come when you can settle in a certain department?

So I'm guessing auxiliary ships are the most similar work to Supply a SWO can do? Will it give you the most helpful chances if you want to lat transfer to Supply? How competitive is it to be assigned to auxiliary ships once you're SWO?

So if supposedly after being SWO for a couple years and your heart tells you to switch communities, would not taking these OOD and/or EOOW tests prevent it? Of course, I know I would have to do a good job as SWO; common sense at any other jobs if you want to earn some more favorable and flexible work opportunities.

Okay so this guy is selling a 1999 Kawasaki Ninja 1000cc for $2200 obo. It is in good condition besides a few scratches. This other guy is selling a 1987 Kawasaki Ninja 750 R with 24,000 miles for $1800 with also a few scratches. For a few hundred dollars more anyone would grab the 99. Why are the prices so close, am I missing something?

I mean I appreciate my friends trying to get me in on the loot, but come on.. No company is giving free shoes, laptops, cars, jets, aircraft carriers, etc.. but I still get all these emails from friends saying "so and so is promoting a new product and forward this and get... (insert great free stuff here)..
Am I the only one who checks on snopes.com before forwarding this stuff?

We have a house with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths. I want to make sure there are no more problems with the situation but I have no idea how or where to look to find out what size tank or if there are features I need to look for. Many livejournal users have had their accounts deleted. Paid accounts because of on radical "activist" who is reporting users with certain words listed as their interests. People have paid for a service "months of service" and had their work deleted. Can anything be done?

I am asking all you Laker fans, I understand you want the best player in the NBA to stay, but he just called your orginization dumb basically! Where is your Laker pride? Why are you taking the side of the player and not the orginization? If Jeter did that to the Yankees he would be A-Rod!

If he demands a trade from the orginization you truly love, like Lamar Odom did to the Clippers, screw him, let him go! If it's really true that "Creation is Religion & Evolution is Science", and Evolution is the only option for an atheist, what is the naturalistic, logical, scientific explanation for atheists to be in the Religion section of Yahoo! Answers?

Isn't it ironic when people in the Religion section are blamed for proselytizing by atheists who choose to verbally harrass? In other words, are atheists truly able to play by their own rules?

I took the class and test last may, but i did not opt to get the card, as it was $5, and i didn't have cash. But I passed the test, and my teacher told me that I would be added to a registry..

Question is, where can i find this 'registry'? I need to prove that i've taken and passed the course/test for a job promotion.. I thought there would be someplace online that I could print out evidence.. any help?

For years you have been asked if you would consider running for president to which you always said, NO. You and your husband's entire careers were built on lies. I feel that as a nation we deserve a leader who will represent our interests and not a liar who will misrepresent us. On your website you claim that you will be the cure many of the economic problems we face today. These are problems that were created and accelerated during the first Clinton administration. Think NAFTA.

I say these things with all due respect. I sincerely hope that whoever wins the 2008 election will be a people's president. Something we have not had for too long. Someone who will be able to do something positive for the people of this nation and not the interests of the World Trade Organization, multinational corporations and or special interest groups. You big shot politicians seem to have forgotton that government is servient. Being an elected official means being of service to the people.

Over the last few months, I developed a crush on one of my friends. We work together but we are on the same level in the company. I've known her for a few years and we became friends, but I kept my feelings from her. She's currently dating someone, but my feelings for her started before she started dating again. She's dating an old boyfriend that she broke up with before. At work, she seems to flirt with me. She winks at me sometimes, smiles when she talks to me, plays practical jokes on me and when she wants to talk to me, she gets up kind of close to me. I don't understand why she would flirt with me if she has a boyfriend, or maybe what she's doing isn't flirting but just having fun with her friend. I don't know, is she interested in me? I want to tell her how I feel but should I if she has a boyfriend?
