Don't know if I should add that to my membership or pay extra at a tanning salon...thanks!

There is no such thing as a good tanning bed. I know. I used to own a tanning business. Your skin will be truly ruined when you are in you are in your late 30's or 40's at the latest from what you do now. It takes about 20 years for the damage to show itself....and don't even think about how bad it gets after that.
It's not worth it.

Normally, I'd say get over it and sh!t happens. But if they left you in the tanning bed then you might have a case. Although if you were free to get out of the tanning bed (can get out without anybody's help) then the only problem is you got locked in the gym. Suing over that is stupid. That's the problem today. So many people just want to sue everybody to get money they didn't earn.

No tanning bed is good. You're giving your skin direct UV light, increasing your suspectability tenfold everytime you use it.

i dont think tanning beds are good in general - actually i know they are bad because they have only bad rays which damage your skin - you will look older sooner and put yourself at a higher risk of skin cancer.
why dont you try sunless tanning lotions, sprays, gels or spray tan?
