I took the class and test last may, but i did not opt to get the card, as it was $5, and i didn't have cash. But I passed the test, and my teacher told me that I would be added to a registry..

Question is, where can i find this 'registry'? I need to prove that i've taken and passed the course/test for a job promotion.. I thought there would be someplace online that I could print out evidence.. any help?

I took the class last May,

I took it at my High School, and the teacher has since retired.

The class was free (funding provided by school/state) except the $5 charge for the card.. which i couldn't pay, as i wasn't expecting to have to bring cash to school with me that day.

Bummer...

Talk to the instructor of the class. I teach CPR and always issue a card to my students. It's the only way you can prove you took the course, and are current. It can also be photocopied for situations like you mentioned. CPR training expires in 2 years (1 year for Red Cross), so if it's been more than that you will have to retake the course. It did change not too long ago.

1. You would need to know who certified the class- American Heart Association or merican Red Cross? Call their local chapter and ask at the office.

2. The 'registry' is just a list of people who have taken the class, and it is just kept at the local office, not nationally and rarely on-line.

3. If you took it in May 2006 with the American Red Cross, it will be expired tomorrow.

4. You can try to take a Review class to save some time and money for renewal or if you cannot find the proof you need.

5. In general, the $5 fee is what PUTS you on the registry. Without paying it, your name MIGHT not have been added- your teacher MAY have been misinformed.

hey i've had this problem before, it sucks!
what you need to do is call the org. that ran the class (was it your local red cross chapter?) they need to issue you a card, thats the only way to prove you took the class...trust me, there is nothing online. good luck!
