They are a religion set in their ways. I call them fundamentalist.

"Evolution is the only option for an atheist, what is the naturalistic, logical, scientific explanation for atheists to be in the Religion section of Yahoo! Answers?"
Evolution is a theory out of science. Wrap your head around a fact: Atheists do not have to use science. I can think of several "brands," if you will, they don't. Most Atheists do. Most religious people do as well, until it doesn't conform to their beliefs (and that's a good point on morality: if you believe you have the ultimate truth and goodness, then any compromise on that belief would certainly be an evil act; of course, if you're wrong, then you've also laid the ground work to become a hypocrite, if you don't watch your step).
As for the other thing, I'll bet you any amount you wish to name that, if there was an Atheist section, we'd have people coming to "preach the good word" on that section just as often as it occurs here. It's not like the conversion posts are written by Christians for other Christians.

Some are Jerks, just like some religious people are jerks. As a grown up I choose to ignore them, whether they are proselytizing or making fun.
Many Christians do take Atheist's questions as insults or verbal harrassment though, because they considder questioning the existence of God blashpamy. Is it harrassment to ask a Muslim how they could believe in the Quran? Most Christian would say no, but when asked how they could possibly believe in the bible, considering the improbably stories, they consider it harrassment.

News Flash... for starters, 'spiritual' isn't restricted to religion and god beliefs. While not the most common, some atheists do claim that title. Also, you believers make sure to put religion in a high place in our society in a way that affects everyone, so yeah we do have an opinion on certain things and have the right to express that.
But really, I'm mostly on this section because people like you keep talking about us.

This place is called Yahoo! Answers and I have lots of answers. My background in religion is valuable, my opinions are valid and my answers are therefore forthcoming. The category is Religion & Spirituality. Philosophies fall under that. This is not the Christian Channel and I don't harrass anyone. But if the game placed on the table is a challenge, I'm up for it.

i'm hoping which you realize that those cruel 'religious persons' are extra often than not no longer Christians. i do no longer propose that they are muslims or sikhs or another faith the two, I propose that they are basically religious - which relatively potential little or no different than that they, especially situations, circulate to church. Christians are instructed to guard their tongues and be well mannered and answer in love even while provoked. we are nevertheless human beings although and, especially situations, we are goaded into responding in techniques no longer befitting a Christian. as quickly as we try this is our own duty of positioned this terrific via apologising (while a possibility) and/or praying approximately it and asking God's forgiveness for letting Him down in a single of those way. while human beings right here impress Christians with insults, airborne dirt and dirt, blasphemous statements approximately our Saviour, lies approximately His life, and so on. that's difficult to respond to as in a well mannered way as we ought to continuously - yet we ought to continuously accomplish that inspite of the shown fact that - and that i'm sorry in case you have been indignant or disillusioned via a real Christian's words right here.

I am an atheist.
When I ponder my place in the world and what is the meaning of my life I am being religious.
When I feel a connection to other people or to the wonders of the natural world I am being spiritual.
When I think about evolution I am being scientific.

IF one accepts non-deity spiritualities (like Confussism & Buddhism) as religions, then the absence of a religion is also a form of spirituality.

Are you suggesting that atheists know nothing of religion and/or spirituality? Are you saying we possess no relevant knowledge that might be shared with those who seek it? Are you implying only the religious and spiritual should answer questions here?
Do you also advocate that only dogs respond to questions posted in the "Dog" section, or that only dog OWNERS respond? Should the environment answer for itself in the "Environment" section or should only meteorologists?

Atheism is the rejection of religion. That means it is ABOUT religion.
And the fundies are the ones that keep asking science questions in the wrong section. Don't blame us.

I'm a despicable character, and not sure if I qualify as an atheist, so I come here to listen and watch.
I know Jesus ain't coming back cause he never went, but isn't there more to atheism than that?
