Human Rights First recently released a particularly damning and extremely well-researched report entitled Command's Responsibility. I spent several hours perusing this disturbing analysis of homicides committed by our own government (to further the cause of “spreading freedom and democracy”). A shocking number of alleged enemy combatants have been murdered by the US military and the CIA. Apparently justice vanishes without a trace if one is of Middle Eastern descent and suspected of terrorism.

According to the report, 100 such individuals have died since August of 2002. By the US military’s own admission, 34 of those cases were "suspected or confirmed homicides". Human Rights First determined that the "facts suggest death as a result of physical abuse or harsh conditions of detention" in 11 additional cases. The report also reveals that 8 US detainees "were tortured to death".

Do we really need political correctness, couldn't people just appreciated that people don't want to be offended by certain words. Couldn't people just have consideration for others and just be polite, instead of being PC. Or am I wrong? I know that it is there to protect people from becoming offended, but now a days some subjects are so PC that people won't speak about certain subjects as they are deemed as taboo.

3.2 Million Americans lost jobs due to out sourcing.Meaning the jobs closed down here and reopened in another country. The stock exchange shows our economy as good because these companies are doing great in sales and making huge profits because of the cheaper labor overseas. While our unemployment rate is low the people themselves are working lower paying jobs in the service industry. Thus creating many home foreclosures etc.So what do you think of out sourcing?

I dont believe in god but i think that the big bang is a continuous cycle of big bangs that have been going on forever. It bangs and expands and then contracts and then bangs again forever in my opinion. I dont believe that anything started it, its just been happening forever. What do you think?

I’ve been married for 7 years now and we have a 5 yr old son together. My husband travels every few months on business for weeks at a time leaving me to take care of the boy sometimes on my own. I not only have to put up with a 5yr old but also with my husband being away so it is any surprise I had a year long affair? I’m 31 and deserve a lot better. I don’t plan on telling him about the affair because I just know he’s going to try to make it out to be my fault. Why do so many people automatically assume it’s the cheaters fault for cheating?

The FBI arrived at the Virginia home of Rep. John Doolittle (R-CA) and his wife Julie last Friday to execute a search warrant pursuant to their investigation of the Doolittle's ties to imprisoned lobbyist Jack Abramoff. The unfolding scandal surrounding Abramoff has cut a wide swath through Congress, tarnishing former Rep. Tom DeLay, sending Rep. Bob Ney to prison, and filling the courthouse with a line of staffers and aides offering testimony and pleading guilty. Now federal investigators have turned their attention to the Doolittles. They crossed paths with Abramoff on a number of occasions; John Doolittle did favors for Abramoff in his scheme to bilk Native American tribes all the while taking huge campaign contributions from Abramoff and his associates, and Julie's fundraising firm was contracted by Abramoff's sham non-profit the Capital Athletic Foundation. Doolittle has since resigned his position on the powerful House Appropriations Committee as the investigation continues.

--Does his Theory imply that if you gradually expose yourself to an increasingly extreme condition (such as pulling more G's) in an aircraft..that then it must be true that there with the right training and starting at an early age there is no limit to the speed a human can travel. People may say "how can the span of a human life train for that?" The answer is the fster you travel the slower you age, its is not an all or nothing phenomenon where you stop aging at the speed of light but it works like this as you approcah the speed of light or move at all you age less than when idle, at the speed of light you do not age, beyond the speed of light some say you age in reverse....
