people people people.......i've seen all the cards games this year. he is swinging at balls in the dirt, over his head (yesterday he swung at strike three over his head). Why would a pitcher throw a strike??? He is doing it to himself and getting himself out. He needs to take a page from the bonds book and be more patient and take what the pitchers are giving him. He is reminding me alot of mcgwire and sosa right now. Also rolen and edmonds are batting around 200 each behind him right now which also isnt putting much pressure on the pitcher to throw strikes to albert. Albert just needs to learn he cant control what rolen, edmonds or the pitcher are doing and make the decision that he is going to do what is best for the team and let the pitcher dictate whether he gets a hit or (like bonds) takes four balls and walks to first.
Here is a funny one for you though.....how about this??? Along with the bonds steroid allegations there has always been a little talk about pujols age (he is dominican you know) So the answer and solution could be that pujols is really in his late 30"s (which would explain the back) and his eyes are starting to go?????? lol there is a rumor for ya!!!!!!! have fun all

We are only less than three weeks into the season. There is no need to criticize a star player like Albert Pujols this early in the season. Okay, he's not keeping up with A-Rod's phenomenal start, but the season is still young and there are still about 146 games left in the season. Anything can happen between now and October.

He's had several walks, but then again "this season" is only what, 15 games in? Not even 1/10 of the season through.
Then again, at 4 home runs thus far, he can still manage 40 on the season. I'd call that an accomplishment.

The guy isn't getting anything to hit. Pitchers finally respect what this man can do to a baseball. The homeruns he has hit were mistake pitches that caught too much of the zone.

I've watch quite a few Cardinals games this year and they are staying away from big Al especially with men on.
He's not getting any good pitches he can drive out at all.

he has no much pressure on him. with all the hype about "hes the main star of the team" and "should be on everyones fanasty team" i think after a while he will pick it up.
