How does do beliefs, the vital element of religion, survive in a society where knowledge is power (Foucault)?

Basically I want to see how religion survives in society, and can come up in almost any debate, or conversation. Is this question appropriate?

Also when visiting bars & clubs i noticed that they have American flag toilet paper and American flag urinals.
These are real American people doing this and its digusting

I wonder what the day to day life is like for a priest. They must be deep thinkers. They have devoted their lives towards religion. Are any of you out there priests, or friends with priests? What is it like, do you always question your beliefs, and search for answers?

There was a man who had worked his whole life in a pickle factory. One day he came home and told his wife that he had been fired from his job.

She began to scream and yell, "You have given them twenty years of devoted service. Why did they fire you?"

"For twenty years I’ve wanted to stick my pecker in the pickle slicer," he explained, "and today I finally did it!"

The wife ran over and pulled his pants down to see what damage had been done.

"You look okay," she said with a sigh of relief. "So what happened to the pickle slicer?"

"Well," he said with hesitation, "they fired her, too."

There are alarming reports about the stealing of defense information from China, but the US’s most advanced systems will always be secured. This is due do to the high level of technology that accompanies our best systems.

We could give China a brand new B-2 and F-117 (stealth bomber’s) and all they could do ( or any potential adversary) would be amazed by the designed. It would take at least a decade or two for any potential adversary to replicate and or make any useful countermeasures for such technologies.

And just think we designed these things nearly 3 decades ago!! So they can steal as much of our technology as they want, because they still don’t have the resources and infrastructure to do anything about it!

One of the only nations in E. Asia that could churn out military equipment even close to the level of the US in Japan. This is because Japan specializes in high tech goods, and unlike China whose main industry in employing low skill workers to produce 5cent toys

im lookin' for honda civic LX in best deal, n i saw a person who sell it for$6,500. (2006) its just unbelivable low price. everything bout this car is just wonderful, it's been protected as he said.
so i asked him if we can make a date to see the car, and bout payment. the following are what he said: I am sorry but the pick up and the test drive are not available because I am in Great Britain.I am a hotel manager. Before leaving i had prearranged shipping with "WorldPay" so my presence isn't necessary. The car is in a warehouse of shipping company "DAS", ready for delivery. In exchange I will offer 5 days period of testing the car from the moment you receive it from the shipping company. So if you want to make this deal i will need the following details from you. After I will have all this details I will forward them to "WorldPay"

I love korean dramas. Unfortunately it's just impossible to find them in Russia. My friend brought some dramas from Thailand in thai language and though I know Thai it was quite difficult to understand. There are two movies i didn't understand well. First one is The Duelist. Who was the guy (the main character i mean) and did he die? i would also like to know what happened to the guy in Daddy Long Leg movie. Did he die or lost memory? Another question. Where i could download soundtracks from korean dramas and movies?

with a big band? This would mean that life on earth began in the 1930s. That could be true of course because we have no positive evidence that there was life before that since all the photographs are in black and white and therefore fake because modern in-color people could not possibly have descended from black-and-white people.

Hydrostatic Pressure increases as the depth increase in any body of water. In the sea and ocean it reaches sinister pressures that can crush a Submarine like an Egg in the deep.

Man has always tried to fight this Pressure by building submarines with thick Steel Walls, but never tried to harness it. How can it be harnessed? Is there a basic Thermodynamic Law that does not allow this massive pressure to be harnessed?

Is there an Element or Metal that reacts to High Pressure to produce Electricity, how can this Pressure Gradient with reference to Atmospheric Pressure be used?

After all in an Internal Combustion Engine a explosion creates High Pressure, that Pushes the Piston Up

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/engine1.htm

Can a Hydraulic Machine be used to convert this massive Pressure to Useful Energy?

http://science.howstuffworks.com/hydraulic1.htm

So my question is how this Hydrostatic pressure can be harnessed.

Thank you for you time and thought.

Queen Elizabeth II was visiting one of New York's finest hospitals and during her tour of the wards she passed a room where one of the male patients was masturbating.

"Oh God," said the Queen, "that's disgraceful, what is the meaning of this?"

The doctor leading the tour explains, "I am sorry your Royal Highness, but this man has a very serious condition where his testicles fill up rapidly with semen. If he doesn't do what he is doing at least 5 times per day, he could swell up and he might die"

"Oh, I am sorry," said the Queen, "I was unaware that such a medical condition existed."

On the same floor they soon passed another room where a young, blonde nurse was performing oral sex on another patient.

"Oh my God," said the Queen, "What's happening here?"

The doctor replied, "Same problem, better health plan."

i hate the stranger in my house. he used to be a brother but now hes more like a decaying plague. the more i see him i get sick of him. Hes this gangster used-to-be guy and he went in bars once and now hes still repeating his same mistakes. And he screwed up alot of ex girlfriends, all which i knew. Not to mention his wife which he dumped. He is one crazy m********
i cant stand his attitude.

it just came to my mind one day that i shouldnt talk or even pay attention to this guy anymore. He is a decaying plague and i dont trust him no more.
Recently back then, he started to boss me around for no reason. So i retaliated. I couldnt stand him, we got into a fight. He spit in my face. He made me apologize at him so badly. I wanted to be good brothers with him again BUT GUESS WHAT? HE SAID, GET LOST U ******* YOURE MY BROTHER? HAH!

until today, he is still living in the room beside mine. i cannot avoid him. and i am still a student. I wish he was dead!

I have an idea for a website. I pretty much know what I want and how I want it organized, but I'm a little intimidated by the idea of trying to create a website with no knowledge of the process. I learn very easily, any reccommendations, are there any hosts that walk you through the creation of your website or rather has software that does? Is this something that a person of above average intelligence, in possession of a basic understanding of computers, but with no experience can learn as they go, through trial and error, or do I really need to take a class? Is there a book that I can learn from, I prefer to learn from books anyway? Thanks for your help!
