String Section Theory is actually shedding some doubt on many of the details of Big Band Theory, but does not seem to make its fundemental score unplayable...

Colour photography has been around since before 1914 since colour photographs were taken during the First World War. It was just very expensive. This proves that people were in colour before the 1930s. In any case, what about all the tomb paintings from old Egypt. Colour! Why would those old painters colour their images realistically if the people were in black and white?
So there is a big hole in your evidence. However, if colour photography was derived from black and white photography, why is there still black and white photography?
Seems like the Benny Goodman theory of evolution is flawed and we will have to replace it with the Artie Shaw or Glen Miller theory.

I agree! All the contradictory evidence is PROOF that there was no Big Band at all!!
I'm a Beatlerist myself, and I know that everything that seems to have existed before the Beatles was in fact planted in our memories by the almighty B.

Yes it true. Life did not begin until the big band era. Yesterday I say a one man band by the bus stop. He was blowing a horn, had cymbals strapped to his knees and was baning away, under his left arm he had an accordion and was squeezing away madly, under his other arm he had a bagpipe that he was inflating with a foot pump. I think this means that life has come full circle and that the end is near.

I'm sure for a lot of boomers life, or at least conception, began with the big band theory.

The only response this question deserves:
I seriously hope you're 6 years old, because if you are over about 10, you're just plain dumb.
Enjoy flipping burgers the rest of your life.
Edit: apologies for the ruthless post, i'm usually not like that, but i mean come on...did YOU seriously think that scientists the world over talk about Big Band theory?

Well I know the people that are in a big flapper about it believe it began in the 1920's, but there are some records (still playable on a turntable) dating from the turn of the century.

Emily! Emily Litella! God, how we've missed you, it's so nice to hear from you again! Anyway, um, it's not "Big Band"; it's "Big Bang". Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow.
