There are alarming reports about the stealing of defense information from China, but the US’s most advanced systems will always be secured. This is due do to the high level of technology that accompanies our best systems.

We could give China a brand new B-2 and F-117 (stealth bomber’s) and all they could do ( or any potential adversary) would be amazed by the designed. It would take at least a decade or two for any potential adversary to replicate and or make any useful countermeasures for such technologies.

And just think we designed these things nearly 3 decades ago!! So they can steal as much of our technology as they want, because they still don’t have the resources and infrastructure to do anything about it!

One of the only nations in E. Asia that could churn out military equipment even close to the level of the US in Japan. This is because Japan specializes in high tech goods, and unlike China whose main industry in employing low skill workers to produce 5cent toys

Well Blake
I really hate to be the one to come along a burst your fantasy bubble here, dude, BUT--- it is not common knowledge BUT the Chinese have been supplying the U S with microchips FOR all this high tech garbage for some little while now as a part of the outsourcing programs that have been going on by some of the world's largest high tech companies !!! So, some of this SUPER MARVEL junk you're talking about here--- as well as some of this nation's most sophesticated missile systems are carrying Made in China stamps on the chipsets that RUN the damned things !!!!!
Go find another view--- for this one is definately outdated by at least 30 years !!!!

There is even talks at high levels that are ongoing at this very time that they think there may be a possibility that the Chinese have built in a "failsafe" trigger in a lot of these chips that can be initiated remotely by some signal that will fry these little humpers right where they set in all the gear they're in---and render them totally unusable !!!! Go figure, the U S lets a known advasary build intricate parts for their most important defense gear and THEN considers the implications of it !!!! All of this at a time when you or I can't board a freaking plane to Des Moines without a full body search and a stack of documents in tow !!!!! Odd views in DC these days as to the SECURITY of the nation !!!!!!

I freely admit I know little about high tech aircraft, weapons or other military "stuff". I do know, however that back engineering doesn't take a decade. Come on they may make lots of cheap stuff but it takes a bit of high tech engineering to create the machines to do these things. Even if what you say is true, I do hope our technology is guarded very closely. I've no desire to wake up 10 years from now with a B-2 overhead carrying a nuke warhead! Unlikely? Probably, hopefully. Guaranteed not to happen? I don't think so.

Blake - In which dream world do you live? Belittle China all you like. I suggest you take a look at the current battles America is involved in to determine how great they are militarily. When the US actually gets something right (Vietnam, Iraq) then come back and talk to me.

It won't matter what kind of technology we have if we can't fund ourselves economically. China and India is growing at an amazing rate. The Germans had more technology than the US but we mass produced everything and kept throwing wave after wave of our tanks at theirs.

You assume too much.

I imagine conversations sounded much like this during the planning of "Shock and Awe" and the rest of OIF.

Look what "low-tech, uneducated lesser fighters" are doing to the technological terrors we have created...

Hey, man, call me a liar, but you have never worked around high tech aircraft, right?

I have. If the Chinese got a stealth fighter, they'd have their own copies within a year, tops. They are not that complicated.
