Please take a look at this pic http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/wrtk/develop/week8.shtm

does it mean really 8 weeks pregnancy (counted from the first day of your last period)
or the fetus is only 6 weeks old since you're not really pregnant the first 2 weeks?

I'd like to know what baby looks like on the 8th week.

The link that you provided is an accurate picture of an 8 week old fetus. (This means 8 weeks gestation from the time of conception.) Conception is when the sperm have met the egg. You can also see similar pictures of 8 week old fetuses by googling in quotes: "8 week old fetus", then look in the images section. I hope this helps! Yes, you can count 8 weeks from the first day of your last missed period!

a baby for the first two weeks of pregnancy is concidered to be a embryo but if you are 8 weeks pregnant than you are 8 weeks ... the fetus is 8 weeks... there are 40 weeks in a pregnancy ... also here is a link of a 8 week ultrasound http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3D8%2Bweek%2Bultrasound%26fr%3Dyfp-t-501%26toggle%3D1%26cop%3Dmss%26ei%3DUTF-8&w=640&h=480&imgurl=www.gehealthcare.com%2Finen%2Frad%2Fus%2Fimages%2Fmed%2Fmsuhs1.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gehealthcare.com%2Finen%2Frad%2Fus%2Feducation%2Fmsuhs1.html&size=33.5kB&name=msuhs1.jpg&p=8+week+ultrasound&type=jpeg&no=1&tt=245&oid=89f2dd60d4149088&ei=UTF-8

How I can tell you what the baby of 8 weeks will look like. It is the matter in your womb and you must be better knowing it.
