What are the 3 "cant-miss" things to do on a 3-day trip to New York City?

The first week of April will be my first time visiting the city, I'm 27 and traveling with my mom.

1. Visit the Empire State Building.
2. Visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
3. See a Broadway Musical.

go to central park
take south ferry (its for free) to staten island and back to battery park and you will see a great view of manhattan and statue of liberty (others charge)
go to see ground zero (where twins were)
