I see all these people driving who either do not care about the rules of the road, or maybe just haven't been taught? I am in Missouri and many schools here DO NOT OFFER drivers education classes! And yet, they make learning spanish a class that must be taken?? Not to knock leaning another language, but we do live in the United States right? What about in your area? Is Drivers Education taught in you're schools?

I've known my friend since I was 9 years old. He moved away from NYC to Las Vegas at 13. He's always been a rowdy kid messing up school and never taking anything seriously. For the past 6 years hes been doing drugs getting arrested and ignoring his future. He has recently been released from being locked up for 1 year and 3 months. In that short amount of time he realized he messed up his life. He's scrounging for jobs and trying to get any money he can now. He didn't finish high school, and has trouble finding a job. I have not talked to him in 3 years but have just gotten into contact with him again and he's informed me of his position. What can my friend do right now, what are his best options? He said he applied to get his GED which will take 2 months, but I'm wondering if theres anything he can do now to move it along. Are there any vocational schools in vegas that he can attend now that have little or no cost? I'm trying to save a brother here, any useful advice is appreciated.

I recently found out the other day from my mom that my grandfather(on my dad's side) was a professor at Harvard(I never met him. I only ever met one of my grandparents actually)

How would I find out more about him or his career or whatever?
I'm just sort of curious

(btw don't tell me to ask my dad because he died when I was around 7)

I got a great answer about Princeton....but what is MIT like??
so I'm asking again: Should my sweet humble. curious, caring-awesome awesome kid, go to Princeton or MIT??
He got early decision acceptance at both-the tuition is not an issue...I want to know about the daily life and all around experience- Is MIT too stressfull/competitive?? But MIT sends its acceptance letter in this cool tube w/confetti-so it can't be too bad, right? But...will it make his head explode? what are the living arrangements like? high school was all work no play (obviously or he wouldn't have this decision to make today) so I want most for him to enjoy his college years & find his niche.- He is interested in Computer science and math...funny kid, dry sense of humor, super mature For fun he likes computers, sport of fencing, cars. Of course he will go where he decides to go but I can kind of tell he is sort of sick of all the competition-...
