School is back already! I am trying to prepare for the new school year, and I was wondering: What are five things you believe are VITAL to do in order to prepare for a succesful school year. It can be something you do, or something you do for you children. Thanks!

I am doing a school project on placing. I would like to know why do people choose to hold occasions and events at well-known hotels (eg. 5 or 6 star) and not those low-class hotels (eg. 3 to 4 star?

I work for a engineering firm and I have moved up in the company since Ive joined. I quit school in the 10th grade but i did get my GED, now I'm interested in going to college to get a civil engineering degree, and I have been reading around to see class schedule and credits, I'm also aware i will have to take a placement test. I'm a little worried that my math is going to hold me back, is there any thing online that i can print out that could prepare me and so i can pratice up before i take the placement test. Thanks

I've never taken a course called 'personal finance' or 'how to get rich'. Have you?

I have also never been given a reading list for personal development or wealth building books like.. "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George S. Clason, or "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles.

Why is that?

Hey, everyone. I'm fourteen years old, and no matter how hard I've tried over the years, I just can't get the hang of tying my shoes. I don't get it - it's not like I'm stupid, I'm an A student, yet I can't do something as simple as tie my shoes. This is an issue I'd like to address so I can personally, you know, tie my own shoes and not worry about it all day when they come untied, or having to do some weird "tuck them in" trick at the bowling ally. Please, if you have any advice on how to teach an older dog a young dog's trick, please help.

In two months I will go in grade 11 and I'm seriously angry at how things are turning out. I study a lot for my tests, quizes, everything. I have a timetable and I listen in class and my marks are always 73%. What am I supposed to do? I just got back my results for exams and I thought I would get 90 or more but it turned out to be 70%. I'm really angry and frustrated. My parents tell me I can't go to university with these marks but I have no idea what to do. I wake up early at 7:30 to go to my math tutor. This summer I registered for a preview of next year's English and I'm doing all these things and at the end the marks are always bad. Grade 11 starts in September and I seriously want to do good this year but no idea on what to do because I tried everything and I always failed.

:(

I was just asked to join. What would I be expected to do if I joined? How much time is involved in being a member? I have a job, plus family, and I am full time student, would I have the time to spare to be a member? What are the benefits vs. the draw backs? I am looking for anyone who can explain to me the purpose of being a member and who can give insite as to what being a member would mean to me in the long run. Thanks.

So, I am a 17 year old girl and currently a senior of the 2007-2008 school year. Next year I wish to go to college and pursue a job in Journalism but I have no money. I applied for a scholarship and I need votes so if you could please read my essay and possibly vote for it if you think it is good enough or encourage others to take a look and possibly vote, then it would be VERY appreciated.

Here's the link.. http://www.collegetoolkit.com/ScholarshipContest/Vote.aspx?U=ashummz05

You register, vote, and then do the email confirmation for it to count. After you get done registering with your name, birthdate, etc. then just put in the url above, it's much faster.

This may only take a moment of your time, but it will be a huge part in my life.
Thankyou all.

I'm about to receive an associate!
By the way for those in England and elsewhere were they don't offer associate degrees, it's similiar to a higher learning diploma.
