I'm gonna have to take these classes next year as a junior and it SUCKS! I already know i don't like chemistry but im not sure about calculus. Is it as hard and boring as people say it is? I want to be a baby doctor when i grow up but im not looking forward to the hard science classes :)

Well I don't hate math and science that bad, I actually love algebra, geometry, and biology (10th grade)...Im just not sure if im ready for the harder stuff ( I'm also gonna be taking college English, 3hr. assistant nursing classes at my high school, and Im in a program at Case Western involving some type of engineering. I just feel swamped, thats all.

i managed to do well in both chemistry and calculus on both the high school and college level. the key is keeping up as you go along and DONT fall behind. that is when everything gets confusing. plus, if you can get a good grasp on it in high school, it will be much easier in college. dont be intimidated by the subjects. just work hard and conquer them.

Hmmm.....I'm not sure how to answer that question. I'm a math grad student, I don't think calculus is hard and boring, but I know that most people who had to take the course will disagree with me.
If you have a good prof, it will be fun. Calculus is very applicable in solving real world problems. Also, if you enjoy math, you'll like it. But it's like every other class you take- the effort and passion you put into it will reflect on what you get out of it.

Chemistry was ok, but I'm not a huge fan of Calculus.

It's not that bad. Hang in there and pay attention to stuff as you learn it because its easier to get through if you can remember what you learn as you go.
