What is your opinion on school uniforms???? me personally i hate them but i want to see whar REAL people think about this!!! i hate stupid teachers and principals talking about it and not having the chance for accual students talk about it! i mean their not the ones wearing them!!! plz help

what would you say is more important in school, the knowledge that you receive, or the grades that you earn? because to me, the knowledge seems rather useless, there's rarely any real-life applications and chances are you'll forget most of what you learned over winter break or the summer. grades, however, measure your "ability" to learn something, which is something that can't really be forgotten and may be forever essential.

however, my friend tells me that you should seek knowledge rather than just a grade because you can continue to use that knowledge outside of the class, while the grade is related only to the class itself. so what really is more important, grades or knowledge?

I am having problems with trying to get my G.E.D. I am not good at writting. so is there a way I can take the test to get my G.E.D. with a type writer insted of having to write, because I have a problems writting, and I don't think that the people who grade the test that they wron't be able to read my hand writting.
plus I need to relearn most of my math skills. is there a program that will help me with to get my .G.E.D. plus help me to relearn my math skills.

i believe the reason i can't master the "th" is because i'm used to replace the "th" with the letters "t" and "d" like "thing= ting" but i know it is wrong and mainly it has to do with my ear, my ear can't distinguish between the letter D and the Th, is there any exercise or any way where i can fully hear the "th" sound and be able to recognize it and distinguish from the letter D and maybe the letter T but more of the letter D etc dere = there them= dem i can't seem to hear the difference any help? I know there are two sound in the "th" the voice and unvoice, and i also know you pronounce it by sticking your tongue between your teeth, but i can only do it when i'm concious of my tongue movement and force my tongue to move out between the teeth so i'm trying to pick up the sound by my ear, but i can't seem to do it p.s. this is refering to american english

i have to write a series of at least 4 journal entries pretending to b Hester prynn from the scarlet letter. I must portray all of what she went through and i need help. I'm using Hawker hurricanes and early model P-51s. I am also combinning it with my trains. I need lists of buildings,what kinds of equipment they might use,personel,etc.I have some tractors and trucks and some buildings but I do not know how to lay it out. thank you for any help any one can give me.

I think it is okay for elementary and middle schools. I feel that the more they grow the more they should be able to wear different things. For elementary it should be the basic things. For middle school they should say more colors and different things. And there shouldn't be anything for Pike High School expect a dress code such as don't wear things that show gangs, drugs, etc...

well i got a 1290 on the sat's...not including the writing part...i know that that is a pretty good score but i got a 710 in english/composition and a 580 in math...will the 580 score look bad as colleges look at my scores??? Does that hinder my chances of getting into a good college? btw the major I hope to pursue is political sciences
