It is placebo effect. This phrase refers to the experience of an effect that is assumed to be caused by eating a certain thing or taking a certain medication. A placebo is an untreated substitute for soemthing used as a control in a reasearch study. Half of the recipients, for instance will get an active, or expected dose, while the other half will only think they are receiving it. The placebo effect is when people receiving the untreated dose experince the effects that they would have gotten from the treatment.
